Luxury 4bedroom, 3 bathroom villa with Caribbean flair set in .5 acres of tropical garden.As soon as you open the doors to Villa Pimenta you are struck by the spectacular ocean vista which can be enjoyed from the spacious living area, the large covered patio, or the beautiful poolside patio. The villa is open and airy with vaulted ceilings and hand made terracotta tiles. The ceiling fans and the louvered windows allow the rooms to be kept cool by the trade winds. The large well equipped kitchen, locally hand crafted , opens to the living area. Whether you plan on cooking a gourmet meal or using the BBQ you will find everything you need. The master bedroom with King size bed and en suite is huge, and opens onto the covered patio, leading to the beautifully inviting pool.There is a pretty twin bedroom and bathroom , and a small 3rd sleeping area with bunk beds .A queen bedroom and bathroom, with sitting room and small kitchen at garden level give you ample accommodation.

Villa Pimenta is located in Old Towne, on a quiet road over looking the Caribbean ocean and Isles Bay Beach. It is a 10 minute walk down to the beach, and there a number of other local beaches just a short drive away. We are a few minutes from the local supermarket, and Gourmet Gardens restaurant. Montserrat is not your typical Caribbean vacation destination. Things move slowly here, but you will find plenty to do and see if you can drag yourself away from the poolside. Excellent hiking trails, MVO and island tours with friendly knowledgeable locals.There are a number of interesting stores selling local crafts and souvenirs. The Cultural Centre in Little Bay recently opened by Sir George Martin, and the local market open on Fridays and Saturdays, great for buying local produce should be visited. The information package at Villa Pimenta will give you an up to date list of restaurants and bars from casual to fine dining ,and everything you need to know to make your stay memorable.

Notes: Internally and externally everything is new. The furnishings were selected for your luxury comfort, and their Caribbean flair. Around the newly refinished 32ft pool are plenty of sun loungers. The covered patio has comfy prettily covered wicker furnishings for relaxing in as you enjoy the view and sip a cool refreshing drink. The tropically landscaped gardens can produce bananas and mangos, and the vibrant colours of the Borganvilla, Orleanda,Hibiscus, and Yellow Bells will take your breath away. Flat screen TV, DVD player and stereo are provided, with a growing library and CD, and DVD collection. Linens towels , and housekeeping are provided. Airport or ferry pick-up, car hire and starter grocery packs can all be arranged. There are laundry facilities at the villa, an iron , ironing board and hairdryer. The shimmering volcanic sandy beaches are usually deserted. The people of Montserrat are the friendliest you will meet any where in the world, and crime is virtually unheard of.

This home is positively PARADISE!

Villa Pimenta has been refurbished for comfort and luxury! The owners have thought of everything.The moment you enter the courtyard the front door of this home teases you to enter! Once entering the vast openness of the living area with wall to wall glass sliders, breathtaking views of the terrace, pool, lush mountain over to the sea overwhelms your senses!
The furnishings are simple, but exquisite ! They have tiled throughout with terracotta tiles which extends out to the terrace and pool area.
Being a cook, they have provided a haven for enjoying the views and your group while prepping, There's plenty of counters and top end pots/pans, dishes, glassware and to our surprise insulted cocktail glasses!
The Master Bedroom is decorated with a beautiful West Indies king size suite and the attached bath with large walk in closet. Not to mention the shower has room for 4 or more! This bed was one of the best I have ever slept in, being fussy, since I've had back surgery.The guest room is located on the other side of the home (split plan) and is decorated with twin beds and lots of light! The surprise was opening a door off the hall going toward the guestroom and finding a bunk beds behind them, so cute.
On the terrace there are many areas to sit and socialize or a quiet place to appreciate the view or read. They have a gas grill out on the terrace for outdoor cooking. The pool was wonderful with views east to the mountains, to the west the Caribbean Sea and beach
We went out to eat twice. Weds eve we went to Olveston's for their BBQ, which is less than 5 mins away. A beautiful older estate with large porch that has tables for dinner. Another day we went to Tina's near Brades and had a wonderful lunch, fresh shrimp, yum!
Top things for us were exploring the countryside, going to the Montserrat Volcano Observatory, the beach and snorkeling.
We can't say enough about this property, spotlessly clean, comfortable, beautiful grounds and the owners have spared no expense!! I brought my laptop and had absolutely no problem with the wireless, very convenient.
The owners are very helpful and returned our inquiry quickly. It was just the two of us, our friends couldn't join us.I would highly recommend this for a couple, family or a group of friends! I travel a lot and have owned a B&B, this was simple luxury. Best rental on this island, no surprises and you will not be disappointed!!

What an INCREDIBLE place!!!!!

From the moment we first arrived we were awestruck by the beauty and atmosphere created by the breath taking views and lovely accommodations. We enjoyed our relaxing seclusion poolside, deck side, inside, outside and when we ventured out to explore the island everyone we met was nice and friendly. The atmosphere of the island is like going back in time to the 1960's. The pictures and description of the Villa are great, but the experience of having stayed there is awesome. We will definitely be returning in the future. This is definitely a place to go when you don't want the hustle and bustle of a tourist trap island. The kitchen is very accommodating and user friendly, but a night out for dinner at the Olveston House should be a staple to everyone that visits. The stars at night are incredible, and the sunsets are truly amazing.

Perfection in Paradise

Mark knew what the villa looked like before the renovations, and congratulates you on a fantastic job. It is truely inspiring for us, who are in the early stages of a similar and daunting project!
The attention to even the smallest details were well thought of and added to our comfortable stay.
From the sunrise over the volcano, to the sunset over the Caribbean sea, the views from the villa are spectacular, throughout the day.
We can highly recommend Villa Pimenta and will look no further for a wonderful place to stay, should our own renovations take longer than planned.Thank you for sharing your great vacation villa!

Best Family Vacation Ever

This property is perfect for those who truly want to "get away from it all". Travelled with our 3 teenagers, and had our best family vacation yet. Lots of relaxing, and lots of together time exploring. Where else in the Caribbean can you have a beach to yourself? Volcano was fascinating. Island people laid back and friendly. Villa is beautiful - exactly as it appears. High quality interior furnishings and accessories. Beds extremely comfortable. Lots of room. The wrap around patio overlooking the ocean was hard to leave! HIke to Rendevous Bay was taxing - but so worth it! Don't go looking for sophistication and commercialization. Just enjoy the Caribbean the way it was before developers turned the other islands into a mini USA!

Vacation perfection!

We stayed at Villa Pimenta in mid-March 2009, as a party of three, two adults plus our 7-year-old child. The villa was perfect! Our daughter loved the pool and we liked the fact that it's nicely laid out with plenty of deck space. As a parent, I don't like cramped decks and kids may trip more easily on deck furniture etc. The villa is beautifully and very tastefully decorated: great furniture choices! And the kitchen is equipped with quality cooking gear such as All Clad pots and pans, very sharp knives and plenty of utensils so you won't be frustrated while cooking meals. (I've stayed at cottages where the kitchen equipment is clearly an afterthought or from the dollar store: unsharp knives, old pots and pans etc). We enjoyed cooking our own meals and using the top-of-the-lie barbecue on the wraparound deck with a view to the Old Road Bay. Lots of space, a beautiful front courtyard, laundry downstairs, and wonderous views of the sea and volcano make this an awesome property. We also loved the fact that there were plenty of bath and beach towels. The bedrooms are very comfortable. The villa is spotlessly clean, and while yes, you will need a rental car, driving around affords you a great opportunity to explore the island. A hen wandered onto the lawn, mountain chickens (giant toads) came out at night on the lawn, and terns visited during the day. It's a beautiful property and extremely, extremely well priced compared to some of the other properties on the island, which offer fewer amenities and space. This property would be perfect for couples, a group, and families. We chose it in part b/c the layout allowed us to watch our child by the pool at all times: from the deck, from the living room, from the kitchen, and even from the master bedroom. The property manager and owner were very nice to deal with and we will be back soon, we hope! 10 out of 10!
