Absolutely gorgeous house and yard!

We stayed here from Sept.21-Sept.27. This house had everything you could ask for. Peaceful,tranquil,and all the amenities. We lounged outside by the pool after exploring the countries nearby. Maria,the owner was great to deal with...providing us with all kinds of online material for our trip to Hungary. Sam and Terry who look after the house were very friendly and welcoming. It was sad leaving...gorgeous weather,wines,sights and the people in the area are very nice. i would highly recommend this house to anyone venturing to rural Hungary!

A Little Piece of Paradise

What a fantastic one-week holiday at your place in Hungary! We enjoyed almost everything: the spacious premises, the well-kept housing facilities, the pool water getting warmer and warmer, the peacefulness of the village, the shady garden, and - last but not least -
the lot of very helpful information that you gave us beforehand, Maria, and finally the cordial welcome by Sam and Terry, who proved to be real insiders with their knowledge and experiences all around the area.
We certainly will come back soon. - The only thing we missed a bit was a TV set - fortunately the world cup will take place next summer!
Thank you very much again for one week of excellent recovery from all the burdens of everyday life here in busy Germany.

A wonderful place to have a very relaxing holiday.

A very safe, secure, clean and well equipped holiday home. The house has everything you would need for a family holiday, including oodles of towels and towels for the pool. The beds and seating are very comfortable. There are ample seating in the garden for dining al fresco. The pool is safe for both children and adults - we had great fun plaing games in the pool. You can find shade or sun at any part of the day within the garden - suited us fine. The weather here is fantastic, very warm and plenty of sunshine apparently every summer. We used the hungarian goulash pot in the garden which was a fantastic experience - and a good meal. Plenty of things to do in the area if you don't mind travelling a little on rather slow roads. The english caretakers Sam and Terry are extremely helpful and on hand at all times if required - a lovely couple.
This house is a rare find - we will definitely holiday here again and recommend it to our friends.
Nearby supermarket Tesco -yes really - but not the same products as the uk.
Easy day trips which we took - Vienna, Szombathely, Sopron, Lake Balaton, Koseg and the spa at Buk
Eating out is incredibly cheap - we never spent more than £5 per head on a main course and drinks - so ate out regularly - big portions of meat seems to be the norm for Hungary
Don't miss out on a great place!

Great holiday!

We have just returned from Walnut Tree Villa - it was everything it was described as and more. We all had a lovely time - kids (aged 5-15) and adults alike. The villa is set in rural Hungary in a small village with a couple of shops and a restaurant and was lovely and peaceful (apart from the odd barking dog). We had lots of days out to nearby water parks and a beautiful lake in Austria, but still feel there was more to do that we didn't have time for, although the kids were totally content in the pool and playing in the lovely garden. The nearby town of Koszeg is really beautiful and well worth a stroll and an ice cream. There's a good pizzeria there (Pizzeria Rocco), and for a more upmarket treat, go to Restaurant Florian, where you get a blanket to use if you're chilly and even a stool for your hand bag to sit on! Weather was lovely, language was impossible and living was very cheap. The owner of the villa was incredibly helpful and accommodating before we went and this amazing level of service was carried on by the owners representatives (friends) in the village who gave us loads of helpful information and even invited us round to watch the football! We'd definitely recommend this villa to others and are trhinking of going again.

Fantastic!

We came to hear of the property through the internet. The description was accurate and in fact the property when we arrived exceeded our expectations. It was very well equipped and the location was extremely convenient within the village and with good access to neighbouring towns and villages.

The property was extremely well cared for, clean and well maintained and the service provided was second to none! In fact it could not have been better. I would most certainly recommend this property to anybody.

The location was excellent - beautiful surroundings, many things to do (walking, hiking, swimming, sight seeing etc). Eating out was particularly good!!
