The cave was lovely, but,we booked this cave thinking there was a pool for guests. An above ground one had been erected a couple of weeks before we arrived, not big enough for a swim and not a pool you could relax next to.
The micowave and knives in the kitchen were dirty with dried food on them.
On the third day, it rained heavily and the ford down the road flooded badly and we were unable to get back to the cave late at night, as the deep water cut us off completely .
We had to find and pay out for alternative accomodation, late at night.
Would not recommend once the summer weather had passed. You could be stranded in bad weather.
Owner's Response: We are suprised at these comments as the guests told us that they loved the property and there were no problems. We wish they had informed us with these issues when they were here so we could have addressed them then. They stated it was not warm enough to swim so they did not use the pool to see if they could swim in it. We have had other guests stay here and use the pool to swim in, it is above ground but is 3m x 5m which we think is ample. We spend hours cleaning the cave after every guest so we are also suprised at these comments. As for the ford flooding it was the worst flooding in this area for 20 years and this is beyond our control. We tried all means to get our guests back even borrowing our neighbours 4x4 but they rung us and said there was no problem they would stay at friends that night. We have now sourced other routes so if the ford floods again in the next 20 years our guests can get back.
