Additional information about rental rates

  • Please note that the pricing schedule is set up for a Saturday changeover in 2010.
If you are driving to Fort William it is much better to avoid driving here/home on Saturday/ Sunday during peak season as the roads are narrow and picturesque. It is much more relaxing to have the roads to yourself on a Friday and be on holiday by Saturday! So I encourage Friday changeovers so please just ask.
I will take Saturday to Saturday bookings if this is what you need. Please email me with your requirements.
  • I require a deposit of 25% of the actual holiday cost to reserve 'The White House'.
I require the balance of the charges to be paid 8 weeks in advance of your holiday.
I will confirm the charges and payments required by email on receipt of your booking.
  • Please also be aware that I will ask for £200 deposit which I will return at the end of your stay.
    With thanks Amanda

Ein wunderschöner, verregneter Urlaub

Review Submitted: August 28, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009

Nine Southerners

Review Submitted: August 26, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We had a fab week in Fort William and would love to go back some time.
The house was perfect for our needs; 4 adults with 5 'late teenagers' had enough space to be together and apart so we could sleep, eat and lounge as we wanted! The owner was really helpful and friendly, as were all the neighbours and the position with access to town and beyond was great.
We're walkers so that was our main interest and activity - we made it to the top of 'The Ben'!!! However, we also did some sight seeing - Loch Ness (of course), Glen Finnan (Harry Potter Viaduct and Massacre Memorial) and Loch Levan (Ice Factor well worth a visit for climbing - great tuition and accommodating staff but do make sure you book in advance).
There was lots more to see and do than we could fit in in one visit but we did find that some places did not publicise times very clearly so , again, make sure you check carefully. We even spent quite a long time 'in town' wandering - LOVED the museum!
Evenings were not a problem - The Ben Nevis Pub had a live band on Sunday night (we joined in!), The Grog and Gruel had a large selection of beers (though not a place for families) and the local Highland Games were great.
Thanks for a great week.

Great holiday retreat

Review Submitted: August 4, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We stayed at the house at the end of July with our friends from Liverpool and their 2 boys. The house had everything you needed, was clean and tidy and easily had plenty of space to accommodate the 2 families. There was plenty of leaflets and brochures highlighting the local activities and activities within easy reach. We were also given a list of places to eat and things to do to keep the kids amused. I would definately recommend this house to family and friends and if we choose to holiday in Fort William again would definately use this accommodation.

Family Getaway

Review Submitted: June 21, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
I booked this property in May 2009 for my wife and myself, my oldest son and his wife and new baby daughter, and my youngest son and his girlfriend and we all had a great time. The house was more than big enough for all of us. It is just a 15 min walk into Fort William. The location of the house was at the end of a quiet Cul-de-sac, with plenty of room for more than the two cars as you can see from the photo. The house was warm, comfortable and quiet.

Good place to stay in Fort William

Review Submitted: June 9, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
As a group of five adults we found The White House a very comfortable place to stay for a week and our enthusiastic landlady (across the road) was happy to offer 'top tips' on good places for walking, cycling and eating out. The dining room gave us plenty of space and was a pleasant place to be in and the lounge area was comfortable. There was always loads of hot water and it was great to have the use of three showers, plus a separate bath. Loads of parking room. A very quiet street within easy walking distance of the centre of Fort William.
