The manor has 3 private bedrooms and is capable of sleeping between 5 to 9 people. Located only 20 minutes from Bristol, 30 minutes from Cardiff, and 35 minutes from the ancient roman town of Bath. It is the perfect location for touring both England and Wales. We are only 10 minutes from the Celtic Manor Resort and Golf Club, home of the Ryder Cup 2010. Llanthony Manor is located on the southern tip of the Wye-Valley, which is an area designated for its outstanding natural beauty. The Manor is only 100 yards from the Norman Castle at Caldicot with its 55 acre country park. Located in a quiet village and surrounded on three sides by a high stone makes this an amazing place to relax and enjoy life. Llanthony Secunda Manor exudes an inner warmth, and unique charm. Lavishly furnished with antiques this unique opportunity to enjoy life in a medieval manor should not be missed.

Notes: Four poster beds, ancient stone walls, bread ovens and an incredible amount of original medieval features are just a few of the things you will enjoy at the manor. The manor has full gas central heating run on two separate systems so this is always plenty of hot water. All rooms have one or more radiators with thermostatic valves so that guests will always be comfortable. There is an period kitchen with and an easy to use electric range cooker. Modern appliance include an fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, kettle and automatic coffee maker. All our towels are of the highest quality and we only use designer Dorma Sheets and covers on all our beds. We ensure that we provide only the highest standards and understand the discerning clientele would expect nothing less.

This is a fascinating place with an owner new to the world of renting but committed to doing a great job with the most exciting building we've ever stayed in (and we've been self-catering in the UK for 21 years.) The immediate location is unfortunate, surrounded by bungalows, difficult to find, and nothing is available by foot. This is redeemed by the fact that so much of Wales and southern England is within an hour by car and life within the house is so much fun. Find the Chepstow Farm Market -- easy for bascis and located on the way to the house from the M48. The property will be even better when it has a functioning fire in the sitting room (the Great Room is not a usuable space unless you're planning a dinner party for 20, at which point it would be splendid) and when there is good light by which to read. At the moment, however, it has a fantastic kitchen, great bathrooms (cute en-suite facilities in the medieval guarde-robes), very good heating, good internet service, and comfortable furnishings. Most importantly, the owner is serious about both the restoration of the property and the satisfaction of its tenants. It makes for a promising combination.
