This third floor, split-level, privately owned apartment is in an attractive small complex with controlled car parking beside the sea at Cala Ferrera and close to Cala D'Or. It is large and airy with white walls, timber rafters and terrazzo flooring. A well-furnished roof terrace gets the sun all day and gives a fine view of the sea and the far side of the Cala. Shops, supermarkets, cafe/bars, restaurants, car-hire, taxis, telephones, mini-golf, wind-sailing, scuba diving, tennis and a bus-stop are all close by. There is a children's swimming pool at the complex, and several good pools are close by. Steps lead to excellent sea swimming and there are two beaches with beach-bars within a few minutes walk. Each bedroom has an overhead fan and a bathroom.

Notes: The apartment is suitable for elderly people if they are reasonably active and can climb stairs easily (the owners are 80 and 75); but is not suitable for people with mobility problems or with any condition that a combination of heat and climbing stairs might affect. The communal pool is small and primarily for children although some adults use it. There are several large pools in the vicinity of the complex. The beaches are gently-sloping and the sea swimming from steps at the complex is excellent.

Other attractions: There are boat trips along the coast every day, including at least one on a glass-bottomed boat, stopping at various places of interest. Motor-boats can be hired by the day or for longer at Cala Llonga which is just past Cala D'Or. A large sailing-boat offers all-day cruises with swimming, food and drink. Visits to AquaCity on the way to Palma and a Dolphin Park on the far side of the city are wonderful days out for children. The monks at San Salvador, the highest point on the East side of the island, serve a good typically Majorcan lunch on Sundays at a very reasonable inclusive price. The Caves of Drach and the smaller although for many people more interesting Caves of Hamm are well worth a visit, as is the pearl factory at Manacor. The Sunday market at Felanitx is the place to display your haggling skills and with any luck come away with a real bargain.

Golf: There is an attractive 18 hole course at Val D'or that is about ten minutes drive away. Clubs, trolleys and buggies are available for hire. 10% discount on the green fee will be allowed if visitors have a note from Reception confirming that they are staying at Ferrrera Park. There is a magnificent view from the clubhouse where drinks, bar snacks and a more extensive menu are all available. There are two old and basic sets of men's clubs in the apartment good enough for the 18 handicap owner but not for a golfer who is more particular about the clubs and bags he or she uses.

First time to Majorca, had a hire car. Information pack including directions was exellent.The apartment was great, home from home, everything was catered for.Lovely area, small bays sandy beaches, even swimming with fish.Sun terrace great for relaxing and views.Plenty of eating places to suit all tastes.

We arrived for a weeks a weeks stay on thursday evening. We had a geat welcombe pack it weas great to sit and have cupper atfer flights and drive.The sea view was great from lower balcony or upper roof terrace.The aparment was just like a home from home.The information sheet which tony sent out before went was great with loads of local info and directions to aparment on arival. We will be back to hire aparment again if we still have a uk doddy sitter thanks to tony for making if a great holiday.

Recently returned. This apartment was everything we could have wished for and more. It is spacious and airy and has everything anyone could wish for on holiday. The roof terrace was large and perfect for eating out and sunbathing and the views are fantastic. Tony was so helpful and informative from when we booked to when we arrived home. In all the years we have been visiting Cala D'or and Cala Ferrera in particular we have never had an apartment to match this one in both its position and facilities. We will certainly be returning.

Great Holiday, 2 adults, 2 children aged 2 and 4

We spent 2 weeks at Ferrera Park and had a fantastic holiday. On arrival there was a small welcome pack in the fridge, at 10pm at night it was nice to have some tea and toast. There were lots of extra's that came with the apartment, for the children, there were buckets and spades and bats and balls even a parasol for the beach. Inside there were stair gates, plastic childrens plates and cups, dvd and video player. The apartment has a lovely terrace, lots of sun allday, you have a lovely veiw out to sea. The beach (Ferrera) is a short walk (less than 5 mins), nice and sandy and shelves gently into the water a big hit with the children. There is a huge choice of resturants in Cala D'or centre, which we walked to most evening. We stayed for 2 weeks and didn't need a car. We used the local bus service for a trip to the market and to Porto Colom. A great place to stay, spacious and clean, with a mid week change of bedding and towels. We had a very happy holiday thankyou.
