Casa 'Laila' is located in a valley on the way from S.B. Messines to Alte. The valley offers ideal conditions for a relaxing holiday. Surrounded by an idyllic, hilly landscape with farmer gardens and orange trees (free, from own harvest), the observer finds a picturesque, rare nature. The region around S.B. Messines, Vale Pico-Alto, Santa Margarida, Alte, Salir is ideal for hiking or exploring by bike the upstate aside the tourist places. The 140 m² of living area are distributed on 2 floors and offer a living/dining room, 3 sleeping rooms with 18 - 23 m² each, 2 bathrooms, a big kitchen (fully equipped) and a separate washing and storage room. The winter garden (approx. 40 m²) and the fireplace offer a perfect possibility to spend cold and rainy days in winter and springtime. In summer, you can spend the days in the garden or on the 20 m² covered and sheltered barbecue terrace.

Casa Leila is located in the little village between Messines and the well-known poets' village Alte. The regional writer Candido Guerreiro about Alte: 'Two fonts effervesce so strongly that you can bathe in 'Fonte Grande'”. In close vicinity of the house (20 min. on foot), there are local restaurants which are good and cheap. In S.B. Messines (4 km) you find everything for daily life: market hall (daily fresh fish on offer), banks, doctors, cafes, supermarkets, bakeries, post office and much more. Due to the good traffic connection (highway, freeway, countryside, highway) you can easily leave this idyllic landscape and reach the surrounding villages, towns and beaches. The capital Lisbon is well worth seeing and can be reached in only 2 hours.
