Casa Caroma is a beautiful detached traditional Spanish villa in the hills to the side of the white village of Mijas. Modernised and with every comfort it sleeps 6 and has a stunning free-form kidney shaped swimming pool 10m x 5m on the main patio. For the sun-worshippers the villa has colourful patios that gather every sunbeam from early morning sunrise to the last minute when it falls. Indeed the views from the house look east and south across the Mediterranean over Benalmadena and Fuengirola and west as far as Gibraltar and the Sierra de Mijas mountains. Fantastic! Inside the property is fully air-conditioned (cold and hot), there is also a feature log burning fire, TV, DVD, Video and Satellite..even a Bose ipod 'Sound Dock'. All three bedrooms are different with the master sporting an en-suite bathroom to compliment the further bathroom and the down-stairs toilet. The master bedroom also has a feature turret and is massive. The urbanisation is very pretty and private.

Mijas Pueblo or village is a wonderful place to wander about at your leisure and is home to many bars, restaurants and shops. It even has a great wine museum stocked full of Spanish 'vino' and hosts informal tastings for a little as 5 Euro for 3 different samples! Less than 10 minutes away is the coastal town of Fuengirola which comes with hundreds of shops, supermarkets and a at least 4 new shopping malls. If you want night-life this is the place to be. Nearby you will be spoiled for choice for sandy beaches with La Cala boasting one of the areas best. Within 10km of the villa you will find 10 golf courses all of a very high standard and very challenging. Best book ahead as they are popular all year round. In the villa is a comprehensive and regularly updated 'what to do' guide which can be supplemented with a trip to the tourist office in the village centre. If you want to lie by the pool all day the urbanisation has two bar restaurants within a 5 minute stroll from the villa

  • Bedroom one looks out over the pool and is the largest single room in the house. It has a feature lighted turret above the bed, 2 mini balconies and an en suite toilet and power shower. Bedroom 2 and 3 are both twin rooms to the rear and side of the property.In common with all the other rooms all the bedrooms are air conditioned (hot and cold) and are operated by individual programmable remote controls.

Notes: The urbanisation has two communal swimming pools within 5 minutes 'dander' from the villa. These are for the sole use of residents and guests. The larger pool is divided to allow a shallow area that is primarily used by young children. Beside the larger pool is the urbanisation tennis court again freely available with a simple daily booking sheet beside the court entrance.

Golf: You will be spoiled for choice. Alhaurin Golf is 5 min away by car. Professionally designed it is a must to play! Not only a Seve designed 18 hole course but a very testing par 3 course and a driving range. Within 10km no less than 10 courses to choose from! Try Mijas Golf and La Cala.

Ski Southern Spain: From around December to after Easter it is possible to leave the house and within 2 hours be on the slopes in the Sierra Nevada. One day we skied in the morning and had a BBQ on the beach in the early afternoon.Try it!

We would like to thank for you for renting us Caroma for 2 great weeks in August (08). Our daughters, Anna 9 and Kay 7 could not be dragged away from the pool and David and I just chilled for the 14 days. Your description of the villa and the village was perfect. Calm, peaceful,convenient and the village so family friendly that we wanted to stay forever. We managed to drag the kids to the beach on the second day. Thereafter they were happy with the pool, the inflatables and the sun. Thanks again it was magical. See you next year. Kim and David Bainbridge Cobham Surrey UK.
