This romantic apartment, renovated in 2006, is located in the most picturesque quarters in the city – Alfama. It has a magnificent solar exposition and a incredible view over old town of Lisbon as well as the Tagus river, giving you the chance to enjoy a peaceful holidays in the heart of Lisbon at the quiet pedestrian area. The apartment is totally equipped and well served with public transports. Right next the apartment there's Lisbon famous market - Feira da Ladra – that is held every Tuesday and Saturday where you can find antiques, music books, dresses, you can't miss it. Nearby, 50 m from the door, you have the famous tram number 28 that covers the sightseeing tour of Lisbon 's hills: The mourish “Alfama” with its restaurants where you can feel the fado, “Graça” with its traditional commerce, “Baixa” heart of the city (Downtown) or city centre, “Chiado”, “Estrela”, “Prazeres”, a complete scenic route.

The apartment is in the heart of Lisbon, so you can walk to the city center and to the other typical quarters of this amazing city. Right next the apartment there's Lisbon famous market - Feira da Ladra that is held every Tuesday and Saturday where you can find antiques, music books, dresses, you can't miss it. 1.The apartment is very well situated- in the heart of Alfama.
2.The price for the apartment is reasonable and absolutely fair.
3.The equipment of the apartment is good. Washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, stove, cookware, TV, etc. Everything was very clean and in good condition.
4.The apartment has a beautiful outlook and charm.
5.Maria Alves is a very friendly, funny and helpful woman.

For us it is clear that next time we are back in this apartment. We had a very nice week in Lisbon.

Great Apartment, Great Location, Great Host

Maria met us upon arrival @ a cafe near the apartment and her excitement for her town and country was infectious. She gave us recommendations on things to do/see and walked w/ us up to the apartment to show us in/around. In the heart of Alfama the apartment was recently remodeled w/ new amenities and was meticulously clean. We woke each morning and peered out the skylight in the 1/2 story upstairs. What a view! Just a short walk from the trolley and you're ready to explore. We spent each sunset sitting on the window sill overlooking the river and the other houses below drinking wine/port and eating fresh bread and goat cheese.

We had a wonderful time in Lisbon and would recommend this apartment to any of our friends!

The apartment is excellent, located in Alfama, surrounded by fado restaurants and offering a pictoresque view of the Tagus. It is clean, neat, well equipped and the owner is an amazingly kind person. The apartment is way nicer than the pictures allow it to presume, those who don't believe this, please check for yourselves:))
It is best starting point to explore the historical center of Lisbon, everything can be found between 5-10 minutes walking distance, starting from the Sé Cathedral, getting lost in the maze of Alfama and culminating with the breathtaking scenic points (the miradouro Santa Luzia can be seen from the window of the apartment).
Would recommend it to anybody, hope to come back soon.

We are absolutely thinking the same way like the other residents! Excellent view, good facilities in small space and no sound of traffic. And Maria is a very friendly and fair person. We recommend this for Lisboa lovers who are seeking the real spirit of Lisboa.

I love Lisbon!!!

We spent 10 unforgettable days in Lisbon and believe me, we was really happy to some extend thanks to the place we had chosen. Alfama has an unique atmosphere of medieval city with sloppy, narrow streets, native Portugese living next door and Fado performed live in local restaurants. Good cuisine, delicious see-food and regional cheese and wine. The apartment is small but cosy and nice arranged so you can have all facilities you need. It is very clean, bright and sunny. You have to climb some stairs to get there, but the view is worth an effort- bank of the river, moon and stars you can watch while falling asleep. Very romantic! Maria, the owner of the apartment, is very friendly and helpful. She will advice you what is a must during a visit in Portugal and supply you with any practical information you need.The matter of our arriving and departure was negotiable . Thank you Maria!
