Lucca holiday apartment

Romantic and artistic, with breathtaking views over the rooftops of Lucca. It's fabulous. Everything we had hoped for - and more. Best for 1-2 people, (3 would be a squeeze) - and you'd better be getting along! It's perfectly clean and tidy and has everything you need, even a little coffeemaker. We usually went out for lunch, but cooked evenings. Lucca is a wonderful old medieval town without a ton of tourists. We shopped for dinners, and by the 2nd night, the people in the shops greeted us like regulars! The location is central, easy to find, and this place would be worth a trip in itself. The bathroom is tiny, but perfectly adequate. The bed is comfy, and there's a separate couch. One night, we watched a brilliant thunderstorm in bed with the lights out and a glass of wine - 3 sides of the apartment are windows. Beware - it's up 115 steps! - but totally worth every step. (You can haul your luggage up on a rope!) The photos show the space well and the owner lives in the apt. below, and she's a sweetie. I would go out of my way to spend time here and would recommend it highly. From Lucca you can take the train anywhere - and we did. And it was always a total pleasure to have this place to come 'home' to. One of the best and most original places I've ever stayed - and I've traveled all my life.
