If you dream of an oasis of calm with southern ambience and long evenings in natural parkland , then you should leave everyday life behind and dive into the fantasy life of our “Domaine du Figuier we have discovered this gem of a property, on a hill above the banks of the Cèze. At the end of a small road which leads to the town of La Granerie lies the 200 years old stone house in enchanting peace and quiet. A widespread woodland area (8000 square meters) with trees and tables, chairs and loungers invites you to make the most of it. We would be happy to invite you to a wine tasting in our wine cellar with its beautiful vaults and fountains. A small wooden door leads into the inner courtyard, where you can reach the covered staircase via a stone staircase. This small bit of effort rewards you with a fantastic view. The entrances to the newly renovated gallery apartments are located here.

From the guest terrace you can also access directly the large comfortable kitchen/living area of the maisonette apartment “La Provençale”. The beautiful old tiled floor, the fire place for the cold times of year and the antique Provençal furnishings will definitely impress you. You can really kick back and relax on the Canapé. The fold out table allows you to eat together with other guests. A cosy wooden staircase leads to the upper floor. Here you can find two bedrooms and the bathroom. The large (25 square meter) bedroom has a double bed( 1.80 x 2 meters) an additional bed and a children’s bed if required. In the smaller bedroom( 14 square meters) there are two single beds. Both bedrooms are furnished very tastefully. In the large bedroom you can relax in a reading corner with 2 chairs, if the weather isn’t always that nice. From your kitchen/ living area you can access the roofed furnished south facing terrace, where a feast for the senses and for the eyes awaits.

La Granerie is located above the village of Molières sur Cèze. The small driveway road leads there. The baker comes daily during the high season. You can go shopping in the town (just over half a mile) or in Besseges( just over three miles) and St Ambroix( 5 miles). If you enjoy hiking and hill walking, our house is an ideal base from which to discover the romantic landscape of the Cevennen. For water babies the Cèze and other rivers nearby offer great opportunities to swim and use a canoe. There is a very discreet bathing area located 20 minutes away by foot.

Notes: Apart from the patio furniture there are plenty of loungers, tables and chairs available in the park, the area is arranged in a terrace formation and offers plenty of opportunities for relaxation with its lush flora and wide spaces. The barbecue in the inner courtyard and the barbecue in the park are available for use by all of our guests, similarly the table tennis area and the volley ball court. These offers are also valid for the Les Tournesol apartment. Washing machine and dryer for both apartments are located in a separate part of the building. There is plenty of place to dry clothes. The kitchen is equipped also with many small appliances as well as the normal ones like a toaster, a mixer etc.

Offers for our holiday guests: The owner of the property is a sculptress. If you wish to take part in artistic activities please ask. If more than 4 people wish to take part, we can organise a course on sculpting. Ask us for more information. There is a barbecue in the park and in the inner courtyard for the guests to use. On the day after your arrival we invite all of the new arrivals to a introductory drink . At this event we will offer you some useful tips for a great holiday. Apart from this you can also find a wealth of information material in both of the apartments. Because we live there too, we are always there to help you. If, God forbid, health problems should arise, we will accompany you to the nearby doctor. There should also be no issues with language, as we speak German, English and French.

The surrounding area: The quiet and central location of the house offers many opportunities for everyone’s taste. Tempting day trip locations include: the historical town of Uzes with its diocesan seat (24 miles away) Nimes with the Pont du Gard (36 miles) and Avignon with its papal palace, tempting both young and old with its festival. Andueze with its pottery, the bambuserie, and its countless cave is an experience. The sea is also only 48 miles away. Hiking fans will also enjoy themselves both in the high and off seasons. You can leave the car standing for a while. There are great hiking trails that lead from the house into the exciting Cevennen area. We have plenty of walking maps available for you, and we reckon that there is something there to suit all tastes. In the autumn, the roasting of chesnuts from our own forests really makes for a pleasant experience.

Football World Cup: Our house offers something for football fans and for those not so mad about football. Our house has no television, which should please those not crazy about football, and for the fans the Strandcafé on the Ceze( 10 minutes) has a large television and you can take a dive into the water at half time, or drink a beer, or do whatever you fancy!

Die Beschreibung im Internet ist zutreffend. Wir waren schon in Frühjahr, Sommer und Herbst dort. Wir waren jedes Mal begeistert. Die Sonne und das Licht haben uns jedes Mal bezaubert.
Die „Granerie“ befindet sich in einer wunderschönen Gegend. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist phantastisch. Man kann den Blick im Sitzen genießen und dabei entspannen.
Durch die Architektur des Gartens und der Lage der Appartements kann man, wenn man möchte seine Ruhe haben oder aber leicht Kontakt zu anderen Gästen bekommen. Der Garten ist so gestaltet, dass dort jeder ein schönes Eckchen für sich finden kann.

In dem Appartement sind hervorragende Beschreibungen der Umgebung und der Sehenswürdigkeiten. Markttage und Feste werden extra auf einer kleinen Tafel angekündigt. Auch gute Tipps zum Essen gehen gibt es reichlich.
Selbst bei schlechtem Wetter gibt es genügend Möglichkeiten, den Tag schön zu verbringen.

Nach unseren bisherigen Erfahrungen im In- und Ausland ist das Appartement überdurchschnittlich gut eingerichtet. Es ist sehr sauber und gepflegt und hat eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Owner's Response: Unser Anliegen ist es, den Menschen , die zu uns kommen ,die schönsten Wochen des Jahres so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten . Dazu gehört es , Rückzug und Besinnung zu ermöglichen , aber auch Kontakte unter den Gästen , falls diese erwünscht sind, zu fördern und den Rahmen für Geselligkeiten anzubieten .
Wir sind dankbar für die Bewertungen, die wie nicht alle kommentieren können, sie sprechen für sich , und wir freuen uns auf neue Gäste , die jetzt neugierig geworden sind auf das Ambiente der "Domaine du Figuier " !

Beim Abschied war klar - wir wollen wieder kommen! Die Wohnung ist zum Wohlfühlen, das Haus und der Garten traumhaft schön, die Umgebung mit Gebirge, Flüssen zum Baden, überhaupt die ganze Natur hier ist kaum zu toppen. Und die Vermieter Inge und George sind ausgesprochen nett, sympathisch und unkompliziert. Es war rundum schön!

Ruhe und Erholung abseits der Touristenmassen

Ich kann mich meinen Vorrednern nur anschließen : diese Ferienwohnung ist super ! Von der Mikrowelle über Spülmaschine bis zu Toaster und Wasserkocher ist alles vorhanden. Außerdem hat man trotzdem noch Platz und Abstellflächen genug für das eigene Gepäck. Eine überdachte Terrasse mit großem Esstisch ist direkt vor der Tür (hier kann man sogar bei Gewitter gemütlich sitzen), ein riesiger Garten bietet zusätzliche Ruheplätze. Wer will, hat seine Ruhe, wer nicht will, findet Anschluss.
Die Domaine du Figuier liegt herrlich ruhig inmitten schönster Natur. Trotzdem kann man alles gut erreichen : wunderschöne Badeplätze an Flüssen, Städte mit Märkten, Pont du Gard, Ardeche-Schlucht, Nimes, sogar die Camargue und das Mittelmeer. Es bieten sich vielfältige sportliche Möglichkeiten : Schwimmen, Kanufahren, Klettergarten, Canyoning... Unsere Kinder (8 und 10) haben sich bestimmt nicht gelangweilt.
Aber besonders hervor stach dieses Feriendomizil durch die liebevollen Details in der Einrichtung und vor allen Dingen durch die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Vermieterin. Sie ist immer bereit, Tipps zu geben oder Hilfestellung welcher Art auch immer zu leisten - und sei es nur die Reservierung in einem Restaurant.

Eine Oase für Ruhe Suchende

Das Haus liegt sehr schön eingebettet in einen großen Garten, in den man sich zurückziehen kann und wunderbar entspannen.
Die Ferienwohnung ist komplett, gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet.
Wir haben 10 Tage im Frühling 2008 dort verbracht und uns sehr wohl gefühlt, sowohl im Haus als auch bei schönen Wanderungen und Ausflügen in die Umgebung.

Entspannen, Genießen, Wandern

Wir fahren seit ca. 10 Jahren in die Granerie, für uns das Urlaubsziel mit guter und wunderschöner Unterkunft in herrlicher Umgebung. Man kann sehr gut wandern, Märkte besuchen, aber auch Städte wie Nimes, Avignon oder Orange besuchen und sogar einen Ausflug ans Meer machen. Die Möglichkeiten sind unbegrenzt und gleichzeitig ist es wunderschön, einfach nichts zu tun, auf dem Balkon oder im Garten zu sitzen und die herrliche Landschaft bei einem guten Glas Wein zu genießen. Nicht zuletzt lebt dieses Feriendomizil auch durch die nette und gastfreundliche Art der Vermieter. Wir fühlen uns hier immer wieder wohl, sind schon zu verschiedensten Jahreszeiten da gewesen und werden ganz sicher immer wieder kommen.
