Ferreiras holiday house

This has been without doubt, the best holiday experience we have had to date, we always go somewhere every year, and with having a large family to cater for ( 3 Adults, 5 kids..) we have always been dissapointed with either, the travel agents description being so wide of the mark we thought we had gone somewhere else, or, you get there and you feel so unwanted by the local community, you cant wait to get back home to be ignored by people you know!!. This could not be further from the truth in this case.
We went on 4th May 09 and had been given all the relevant information in a welcome pack before we left, which included directions to the villa,(which were faultless), instructions on how to get into the property on arrival, supermarkets and loads of other great info, we arrived at the villa and on going thru the door, the biggest smile appeared on our faces, the place is truly awesome, there are 3 BIG bedrooms, 1 ensuite (with jacuzzi...oh yeah!!), and 2 other bathrooms, the living room is huge,and sleeps 2 also, with plasma tv,freeview etc, the kitchen is fully fitted, inc dishwasher, and i dont mean me!!, bbq, pool toys, golf clubs, everything that was mentioned in the welcome pack was there...and more..the pool outside is 9 paces from the patio, and my kids lived in it for almost the whole time we were on the complex. The decor of the villa and cleanliness cannot be faulted, and we were also given a local english contact, phil, who actually popped round to see us half way thru our stay to make sure things were ok, which we thought was really nice of him..we didnt hire any cars for the duration of our stay, only to get us to and from the airport, but we used local transport, trains,buses and taxi's, which were very cheap and pretty good, a taxi from the villa to Albefeira cost 6 euros.....and a train from the train station,( just round the corner) to lagos costs 2 euros....and is well worth going, it has a beautiful marina and lovely beach. On a Monday there is a huge market in Agosh and is 2 stops on the train and is amazing.. the locals were really friendly and extremely helpful, and i would recommend having a few meals out in the local cafes as its top food ..and cheap..the supermarket is about a 10 min walk, and stocks virtually all you will need...i cannot speak highly enough of our holiday here, the villa is truly fantastic and i would recommend anyone to go here, it is very safe for the kids, we have a disabled child too and she loved it.....
