If you dream of an oasis of calm with southern ambience and long evenings in natural parkland , then you should leave everyday life behind and dive into the fantasy life of our “Domaine du Figuier we have discovered this gem of a property, on a hill above the banks of the Cèze. At the end of a small road which leads to the town of La Granerie lies the 200 years old stone house in enchanting peace and quiet. A widespread woodland area (8000 square meters) with trees and tables, chairs and loungers invites you to make the most of it. We would be happy to invite you to a wine tasting in our wine cellar with its beautiful vaults and fountains. A small wooden door leads into the inner courtyard, where you can reach the covered staircase via a stone staircase. This small bit of effort rewards you with a fantastic view. The entrances to the newly renovated gallery apartments are located here.

The entrance to the second gallery apartment “Les Tournesols” is located to the back of the guest terrace. The roomy hall area has a cupboard, an antique wardrobe with mirror and a commode. From here you can enter the enchanting vaulted bedroom, which is equipped with a French style bed. Beside the bedroom you will find the white tiled bathroom. From the hall and the bedroom you can see right into the park as soon as you wake up. A wooden staircase leads from the hall to the upper floor. The large living area with fireplace, comfortable dining area and 2 couch beds has an extra special atmosphere. From here you can reach your own private roof terrace, which provides you with a wonderful view over the far reaching hilly landscape of the Cevennen. The very well equipped kitchen opens onto the living area and has direct access to the terrace. The pergola protects from strong sun shine in summer.

La Granerie is located above the village of Molières sur Cèze. The small driveway road leads there. The baker comes daily during the high season. You can go shopping in the town (just over half a mile) or in Besseges( just over three miles) and St Ambroix( 5 miles). If you enjoy hiking and hill walking, our house is an ideal base from which to discover the romantic landscape of the Cevennen. For water babies the Cèze and other rivers nearby offer great opportunities to swim and use a canoe. There is a very discreet bathing area located 20 minutes away by foot.

Offers for our holiday guests: The owner of the property is a sculptress. If you wish to take part in artistic activities please ask. If more than 4 people wish to take part, we can organise a course on sculpting. Ask us for more information. There is a barbecue in the park and in the inner courtyard for the guests to use. On the day after your arrival we invite all of the new arrivals to a introductory drink . At this event we will offer you some useful tips for a great holiday. Apart from this you can also find a wealth of information material in both of the apartments. Because we live there too, we are always there to help you. If, God forbid, health problems should arise, we will accompany you to the nearby doctor. There should also be no issues with language, as we speak German, English and French.

The surrounding area: The quiet and central location of the house offers many opportunities for everyone’s taste. Tempting day trip locations include: the historical town of Uzes with its diocesan seat (24 miles away) Nimes with the Pont du Gard (36 miles) and Avignon with its papal palace, tempting both young and old with its festival. Andueze with its pottery, the bambuserie, and its countless cave is an experience. The sea is also only 48 miles away. Hiking fans will also enjoy themselves both in the high and off seasons. You can leave the car standing for a while. There are great hiking trails that lead from the house into the exciting Cevennen area. We have plenty of walking maps available for you, and we reckon that there is something there to suit all tastes. In the autumn, the roasting of chesnuts from our own forests really makes for a pleasant experience.

Football World Cup: Our house offers something for football fans and for those not so mad about football. Our house has no television, which should please those not crazy about football, and for the fans the Strandcafé on the Ceze( 10 minutes) has a large television and you can take a dive into the water at half time, or drink a beer, or do whatever you fancy!

alle angaben im inserat sind korrekt. bei bisher 5 ferienaufenthalten haben wir beide wohnungen kennengelernt. alles ist tadellos sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. hervorzuheben ist die in jeder situation freundliche und immer hilfsbereite betreuung durch die vermieter. der weitläufige garten ermöglicht ruhige lesestunden. die nähere und weitere umgebung bietet alles, was man von einem urlaub in südfrankreich erwartet. hoffentlich finden wir trotz dieser ***** bewertung auch in zukunft noch eine freie wohnung für unseren urlaub.
Owner's Response: Ich freue mich sehr, dass unsere bemühungen um das wohl unserer gäste eine so gute resonanz finden . als information für neue mieter möchte ich noch hinzufügen,dass seit 2007 im Juli in unserem park eine grosse weinprobe mit anschliessendem paellaessen stattfindet . hierzu lädt ein winzer aus dem beaujolais ein .die paella wird vor ort von freunden zubereitet und findet grossen anklang. unsere stammgäste und neue gäste sind jetzt schon herzlich eingeladen !

Das geschichtsträchtige Objekt liegt landschaftlich reizvoll in sehr ruhiger Ortsrandlage auf einer Anhöhe. Unverbauter Blick in die Landschaft lädt zum Entspannen unter den terassig angelegten Bäumen ein. Die Sauberkeit und funktionelle Kücheneinrichtung zeigt die deutsche Handschrift der Besitzerin, die jedoch noch genügend "Raum" für regionale Einrichtung zulässt.
Ausgedehnte Fahrten mit interessanten Zielen ins Umland sind möglich, viele Badestellen an Flüssen sind schnell erreichbar. Die Provence sowie die Küste lassen sich als Tagestouren erreichen. Fahrradtouren sind auf eher sportlichem Niveau anzusiedeln.
Wir sind seit etlichen Jahren "Stammkunden".

Urlaub in wunderschöner, unberührter Natur

Da wir noch nie in Südfrankreich waren, hatten wir überhaupt keine Ahnung was uns erwartet. Jetzt im Nachhinein können wir sagen, dass unsere Vorstellungen noch übertroffen wurden. Wir hatten ein liebevoll eingerichtetes Quartier mit Blick auf die Cevennen. Hier auch nochmals vielen Dank an die "Vertreter" der Vermieter, Irmgard und Angnes, die uns während der Abwesenheit der Gastgeber liebevoll betreuten und mit Rat und Tat zur Seite standen.
Es gibt hier so viel zu sehen (z. B. Nimes, Pont du Gard,
die interessanten Märkte, die Ardeche-Schlucht und vieles mehr). Wer aber mal eine Ruhepause einlegen möchte, kann sich in dem liebevoll angelegten Garten entspannen.
Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder !
Nochmals vielen herzlichen Dank auch an Inge und George für die nette Aufnahme.

Guter und konstengünstiger Wein!
Liebevoll eingerichtete Wohnung mit Balkon mit schöner Aussicht.

Grosser Garten mit Liege- und Grillmöglickeiten.
Gute Bücher im Regal!

Alle Online-Angaben waren korrekt.

Verschiedene Badestellen an den Flüssen - Vermieter fragen wo!

Schöne Städte groß und klein (man braucht ein Auto dazu) sind auch im Reichweite.

durften wir in der granerie verbringen. es war nicht nur alles so wie im inserat angekündigt, sondern schöner, romantischer und freundlicher. Die gastgeber sind sehr um das wohl ihrer gäste bemüht und verhelfen ihnen mit vielen wertvollen tipps zu einem erholsamen urlaub.
