About the house: This fantastic house is located in a traditional village on the island of Pico in the Azores, with all the comfort to enjoy an unforgettable holiday.
The house was restored to think about the comfort of its visitors, clearly the magnificent scenery surrounding the area and with an impressiveview over the ocean.
The house owes its name to a huge fig that existed inside the house while it was in ruins, occupying the entire area of the kitchen.
In the process of rebuilding the tree removed from the inside, but today the fig grows again on the outside of the house, offering in late September figs of excellent quality'

The house emerges from the revitalization of a ruin that after more than 30 years of abandonment, was fully recovered gaining new life, with three rooms available for guests. For the reconstruction, we used local materials, incorporating the house and the magnificent scenery surrounding the area of Wineries.
