This beautiful ground floor apartment is situated in the Calcada de Sta Ana adjacent to the old military chapel (now museum) high above and overlooking the Rio Gilao just a few minutes walk from the famous Roman Bridge and the centre of Tavira. Despite its close proximity to the centre and the wonderful variety of restaurants, pubs and entertainment the apartment is ideally located in a quiet residential area, ideal for family or friends to relax and enjoy all the amenities and delights of the Algarve. The apartment has 3 large bedrooms, a light, airy lounge/diner, fully kitted out kitchen and a stunning garden patio with BBQ, comfortable garden furniture and roll out awning, perfect for outdoor entertainment or relaxation. The beach on Ilha da Tavira is just a 10 minute ferry ride from the riverside in the centre of town. For golfing parties there are a wide range of courses to choose just a short car ride away.

The property is located in the praca adjacent to the Sta Ana church and in the same street as the old GNR (Police Station) in Tavira. Another landmark close by is the Porta Nova Hotel which is about 100 metres from the apartment. The roads in the area are all in a one way system so be careful if you are coming by car. I will send detailed directions on how to find the apartment with your booking confirmation.....!!!

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rates are for up to 6 persons.

    A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the reservation with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. Cancellation of the booking at any time during the 8 weeks prior to arrival may result in a forfeit of the rental paid. All charges include normal cleaning before arrival, normal cleaning and change of linen once per week and normal cleaning after departure. All linen and towels are provided.
  • A fully refundable cash deposit of € 150.00 to cover loss of keys, minor breakages and avoidable loss or damage to remote, furnishings (including tea/coffee wine and blood stains on furnishings and bed linen) and fixtures is required and payable at the handover of keys. Balance repayment will be effected after deduction of costs or repairs, replacement and/or cleaning. Normal cleaning and fair wear and tear are not deductible from the deposit.
  • Payment is in Euros. We will have to charge you for any transfer charges and bank fees incurred should the payment be made in a different currency.

    Long term winter rentals are available at reasonable rates.

    - Christmas and Easter rates available upon request.
    - Winter months may attract a small additional heating charge. Further details available upon request.
    - Golfing packages are available upon request.

The bedrooms all have large built in wardrobes, two have queen sized double beds and the third has two single beds.

Notes: There is a beautiful outdoor enclosed garden patio with a built in BBQ, comfortable garden furniture and a roll out awning. Perfect for outdoor dining and just relaxing. The apartment is situated on the ground floor of a residential floor apartment block [For the elderly or infirm please note that there are 4 steps at the main entrance of the apartment. And a further 4 steps immediately inside the block. There are no steps in the apartment.] The actual street of 'Calcada de Sta Ana ' leading to the accommodation is on an incline and whilst not very steep, it has some very rough cobbled patches. The apartment block is located at the top of the hill on the edge of the Piazza adjacent to the Igreja de Santa Ana very close to the Porta Nova Hotel. The apartment is unsuitable for children under 5 years old.
