This 18th Century Watermill with a private swimming pool is located in a peaceful rural area with over 10 acres of private land, boarding the Gardon River, at the foothills of the Cevennes Mountains. The property is fully equipped with wireless internet, DVD and CD player as well as a large loaded kitchen and full size washer/dryer. The Gardon River flows across the property, 200 steps from the house. If you are looking for a peacefully retreat and love nature this is the place for you. This house has been rented for over 10 years all guest agree the location is amazing. We have worked hard to keep this place up to date and well maintained with a traditional feel but modern conveniences including wireless internet, dishwasher, large outdoor grill and industrial stove top.

The house is located five minutes for a traditional French town of Saint Jean du Gard, which still has outdoor market on Tuesdays. It also is close to the Pont du Gard (famous Roman aqueduct - 45 minutes), the town of Anduze (25 minutes), Uzes (40 minutes) and within 1-2 hours of the larger towns of Nimes, Avignon, Montpellier, Marseilles, Aix-en-Provence and Arles. The house is situated in the Languedoc-Rousillion region on the boarder of Provence. This region is know for it's winemaking with lots of local vineyards and cooperatives and other artisans food and arts. The house 'guide book' is compiled with lots of notes from pass guest about the restaurants and actives they enjoyed on their visit.

  • We require 50% deposit to reserve the property
    and a 600 Euro security deposit refunded after your stay

  • OFF SEASON LONG-TERM RENTAL AS LOW AS 250 Euros per week (1000 Euros per month)
    We are always interested in long-term rentals for off season (September - May). Over the years we have had families come and rent our property throughout the winter and sent their children to the local school where they learned French. We charged very little since they were renting for a long period. We have rented it as low as 1000 Euros per month (which is a 70% savings over normal pricing). This rental had different conditions including the renters paying for electricity and going some minor upkeep to the property but it turned out to be a win-win for everyone. You can ask about the details. If you are interested in long-term off season rental let us know. Minimum period 1 Month for Long-Term rentals.
  • OFF SEASON WEEKEND RENTALS AS LOW AS 450 Euros per 3 nights
    We also are interested in weekend rentals for the off season (September - May). For as low as 450 Euros you pick the 3 nights you would like to stay and this could be over a weekend. Email to ask about the details and availability.

The WestMill is really a calm and beautiful place!
There's a small river just aside the house to spend time.
Everything is provided (pool, kitchen, towels,...).
Booking is easy and communication smooth and very friendly.
I guess it's attractive for both family holidays or a stay with friends.
You'll find a lot of nice restaurants, picturesque villages, rough mountains (climbing, hiking) and lively markets in the region.
