FACILITIES:
The new club house opened in El Valle in June 2008 with breathtaking views across the golf course. Inside you will find the golf Spike Bar, the Woodlouse Restaurant, Clover Bar, El Asador restaurant, golf shop and reception area with a fully stocked supermarket in the same complex, stocking everything you would expect to get in your supermarket at home. Enjoy your evening meal overlooking the 18 green or enjoy a drink in the Spike bar overlooking the panoramic views of the golf course and surrounding areas. Our villa is just a 2 min walk from these facilities. Our sister resort, La Torre, has a town centre with bars and restaurants, beauty salon, hairdressers, shops, swimming pools, tennis courts, spa & fitness centre etc., all accessible by the courtesy bus which travels between the resorts several times a day.
LOCATION:
El Valle is in a superb location, nestled at the foot of the Carrascoy Mountains, only 10 kilometres from the city of Murcia and just 20 minutes drive from the beautiful beaches of the Mar Menor. With miles of sandy beaches, the Mar Menor is an inland sea which means the water is usually 5 degrees warmer than the Mediterranean. There is no current or sharp drops making it perfect for children and as there is so much of it, it is never too busy. It is also very popular for water sports, jet skis, water skiing, diving etc. This area enjoys fantastic weather all year round making is an excellent holiday destination at any time of the year. With over 310 days of sunshine a year, it has its own micro climate benefiting from mild winters and warm summers.
There are many places of interest to visit in this area including the historical city of Murcia. Explore the local towns with friendly bars and restaurants or take in one of the many outdoor activities on offer.
TERRA NATURA WILDLIFE PARK:
Newly opened as part of Terra Natura Wildlife Park, Murcia’s first aquapark, 'Aqua Natura', is a short 20 minute drive away. The wildlife park covers an area of 13 hectares and is home to more than 300 animals.
For those who life shopping, there are a selection of malls to choose from:
Dos Mares - 20 mins - a selection of small shops, bars and restaurants, cinema, bowling and Eroski supermarket.
Cartagena - 30 mins - Carrefour, Leroy Merlin, Toys 'r' Us, Medium Art, garden centre, Casa and more plus a huge indoor mall with various shops on two levels. There is also the beautiful port itself of Cartagena.
Nueva Condominium at Murcia - 25 mins - a vast new shopping mall on two levels next to Ikea.
Everyone should make time to go into Murcia itself. It is a beautiful historic city with stunning architecture and a grand cathedral. There are many squares to discover with pavement cafes making it perfect for people watching.
Golf:
El valle is a professional 18 hole Jack Nicklaus designed golf course which offers all facilities, club house, pro-shop, driving range and gold school with experienced instructors, the ideal place for golf lovers.
Free inter resort courtesy buses which run several times a day between El Valle, La Torre, Mar Menor and Hacienda Riquelme (all Jack Nicklaus designed courses).
Other courses include La Manga, Mosa Trajectum (next door), Campomar, Villa Martin and Roda.
