New in May 2008 - luxury duplex in the beautiful river village of Pinos Genil. It has 3 bedrooms (2 with Kingsize double beds, 1 with 2 Single beds). Two bathrooms, each with full bath and shower. Large lounge with comfy leather sofas and Sky TV and DVD and large dining table with 6 chairs. The lounge and main bedroom both have balconies. The modern kitchen has ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and all the necessary kitchen utensils. There is a large 30sq meter roof terrace with fantastic views of the picturesque village and surrounding hills. This sun terrace has 4 sun loungers, table & 4 chairs and a luxury stainless steal gas barbecue for enjoying the summer evenings. The apartment has marble floors, is fully furnished to a very high standard and has hot and cold air-conditioning in the lounge and two main bedrooms (not the 3rd bedroom) and gas central heating throughout for winter.

It is a 5 minutes walk to the beautiful Pinos Genil village through which the river Genil runs. Eat al fresco shaded by many trees at one of nine typical Spanish restaurants and experience the gentle pace of life. A 5 minutes drive takes you to the majestic Alhambra Palace (the most visited tourist attraction in Spain) and 10 minutes to the centre of lively Granada, one of the most beautiful cities of southern Spain. If walking is your pleasure, follow the gentle path by the river Genil as it wends its way to Granada (approx. 1hr 30mins). Grenada has numerous quaint old bodegas serving free tapas with every drink, or meals if you require them. To wander and explore the narrow cobbled streets is an adventure in itself! 5 minutes from Pinos Genil is Cenes de la Vega with all the amenities of a small town plus a waterpark. We highly recommend the restaurant Los Faroles (The Lanterns) on the main street. PINOS GENIL IS A TOTALLY RELAXING EXPERIENCE.

Ski: The ski station of Pradollano is less than 25 minutes drive from the apartment. After personally boarding every piste and some great off-piste, I believe that the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort is equal to, if not better than, many I have visited in the rest of Europe over the last 30 years.

Golf: There are three golf courses within approximately 30 minutes drive of the apartment. They are: GRANADA CLUB DE GOLF Located in the countryside eight kilometers from Granada. Mainly flat and measuring 6,037metres off the back tees. The 15th, 16th and 17th holes are bordered by three lakes . Granada Golf is a members' club which welcomes visitors all year round. MEDINA ELVIRA Golf Course is a new golf course, situated in the Granada region, just 10 minutes from Granada. The 18 hole par 72 course has challenging water hazards, long and short drives perfectly integrated between the river, 3 lakes and the pine tree groves. It will suit players of all abilities with wide fairways and well manicured greens. SANTA CLARA GOLF is a par 72 course measuring 6.598 meters, with large fast greens. The course offers plenty of challenges and is perfect for all handicaps. The highlight is the par 5 third hole measuring 550 meters.

Dear John,

Just to let you know I had a fantastic time. The village is picturesque and very relaxing and I enjoyed the village life by the stream when we were'nt skiing.

The resort itself is far larger than I expected with many varied runs, perfect for a beginners.

Your duplex was immaculate and well furnished with all the comforts of home. We will definately be coming back next year.
