The villa is situated a short walk from the centre of Carvoeiro, a delightful fishing village nestling around a beautiful bay with its golden sandy beach. Water sports available in summer months. There is also a diving school at Paraiso, a 5 minute drive away. Carvoeiro offers a wide choice of restaurants, shops and bars. Nearby towns are Portimao and Albufeira and Guia with its state of the art shopping centre and 9-screen cinema showing the latest films. There are waterslide parks nearby at Lagoa and Porches. Golf courses are plentiful in the area, 3 of which are 5 minutes drive from the villa. The historic town of Silves is a short drive away. The beautiful beaches of Centianes, Paraiso and Alfanzina are all within walking distance.

The reality was even better (the villa was huge, very well equipped) than the description on the site, location even closer to downtown than we thought. A lot of space even for many persons, great pool, possible to spend the whole day there without even going out. Many facilities are very close by. We appreciated very much that the owner adapted to our needs. Beautiful beaches at a walking distance.
However, some parts in the house smelt humid, like the entrance hall or the cupboards in the kitchen. Also during one night, the neighbours next door came back drunk and started to make noise. And by the end of our stay there were ants in the house, especially in the kitchen.
However, the whole experience was wonderful, would recommend it to everybody and would come back myself in the same circumstances.
Owner's Response: The villa manager and maid have been asked to air the house more often and I have also asked them to monitor for ant invasion. Ants unfortunately are part of life in the Algarve, as indeed can be partying neighbours on holiday.

The villa had everything and more than we expected

July 2008 'The villa had everything and more than we expected. For a large group I would strongly recommend this villa the location was perfect although there was a large hill to walk up back from town it was only 5 minutes from the town centre, and good for walking off all the food. Also there was a small supermarket 100m away which was perfect for bits and bobs.
The pool had a slide which the kids just loved, the bar and outside BBQ area were perfect and all facilities were of a very very high standard. The children were never bored as there was a pool and table tennis table in our own bar and in the house we had satellite TV. A cleaner came in every day apart from the weekend and did a midweek change of towels. Nearly all the bedrooms had a TV and DVD player and some had CD players. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to entertain so we had BBQ's a lot of the time. We all said that we would never go away on a package holiday again as the villa holiday was brilliant.'
