This apartment is ideal for those who love a peaceful, quiet and relaxing holiday, enjoy nature and outdoor activities (walking, kayaking, fishing, swimming, etc.) and are interested in a healthy and ecologically-sound accommodation. It is situated in the village of Rechlin in Germany's Mecklenburg Lake District and lies about 250 meters from the shore of Germany's biggest lake, the Mueritz Lake. The apartment's interior is friendly and cosy, with sufficient light, lots of wood and light colours. There is one living room and two bedrooms, each with two beds. When we renovated the building, we paid special attention to create a healthy and environmental-friendly climate. The house is equipped with two solar energy systems (providing electricity and hot water), uses natural construction materials and is extremely well isolated to save power. It has a big garden where children love to play (sandpit, etc. available) and you can relax and enjoy the quiet atmosphere.

The Mecklenburg Lake District has many woods and dozens of beautiful lakes. Among them is Germany's biggest lake, the Mueritz Lake. Although this region can be reached in about 2 hours from Berlin or Hamburg, it is one of Germany's most sparsely populated areas. The huge Mueritz National Park is about 8 km away. The house lies in a quiet zone of Rechlin. The village has some shops, doctors, etc. There are many things to do in the area, especially when it comes to sports and nature/outdoor activities (see below). A bicycle tour around the Mueritz Lake is a beautiful experience and can be done in one day. There are some small restaurants. You can buy fresh and smoked fish from the lakes nearby.

Dieser Urlaub war wirklich wunderschön. Was brauche ich die Ostsee, wenn ich an die Müritz fahren kann..... Nun gut wir hatten traumhaftes Wetter. Dieses Objekt ist absolut Familienfreundlich. Wir können dieses Ferienobjekt nur empfehlen.

Owner's Response: Unser Ferienhaus bietet gerade für Familien mit Kindern gute Erholungsmöglichkeiten, bei der auch die Kinder nicht zu kurz kommen. Großer Garten mit Sandkasten für kreative Bauwerke, Doppelschaukel mit Rutsche und Strickleiter, Geschicklichkeitsspiel, Babyrutsche, Schaukelschnecke, Kinderfahrräder, Solarfrosch, usw. Dabei haben Sie die Kinder immer im Blick.
Für Ihre Kinder sind vorhanden: Kinderbett, Hochstuhl, Kindersitz für das Fahrrad - diese Dinge sind im Mietpreis inbegriffen.
Die Müritz lädt ein zu allen Wassersportarten, wie schwimmen, angeln, tauchen, segeln, surfen, Katamaran segeln. Es können preiswert Kurse belegt und Bootsscheine erworben werden.

Müritzurlaub

Wir hatten nur positives von der Müritz gehört und wollten uns, als regelmäßige Dänemarkurlauber, selbst überzeugen. Das Ferienhaus ist landschaftlich sehr ruhig, aber zentral, gelegen und nur 2 Gehminuten von der kleinen Müritz, mit Yachthafen (Tageweise Motorbootverleih), entfernt. Ein weiterer größerer Yachthafen ist drei Kilometer weiter in Nord-Rechlin. Gute Einkaufsmöglichkeit und mehrere Speisegaststätten in unmittelbarer Nähe (fußläufig). Das luftfahrttechnische Museum wurde zwar in unserem Reiseführer zerissen, aber ein Besuch lohnt sich nicht nur an weniger schönen Tagen. Imposant jetzt im Herbst, sind die Kranich- und Vogelschwärme die vormittags und abends über die Waldsiedlung ziehen und zur Landung an die Müritz ansetzen. Gut ausgebautes Wander- und Radwegenetz rund um die Müritz und den Nationalpark. Die Wohnung im DG hat unsere beider Erwartungen übertroffen. Großzügiges und gemütliches Wohn- und Esszimmer sowie ein tolles Bad mit Dusche und Badewanne. Das zweite Schlafzimmer im "Vogelnest" ist eine super Sache für Kinder. Sat-TV, Radio-CD und eine gut ausgestattete Küche stehen ebenso wie mehrere neue Fahrräder (auch für Kinder) zur Verfügung. Für uns ein toller Urlaub den wir wiederholen werden. Empfehlenswert für Erholungssuchende und Aktivurlauber. Nichts für Partygänger.

Kinderfreundliches Urlaubsdomizil

Mein Sohn hatte mit seiner 5 köpfigen Familie wunderschöne Radtouren zum Baden und Naturpark an der einmaligen Müritz gemacht. Das Haus liegt ruhig ab vom Straßenverkehr - dennoch gibt es gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.Für kleine Kinder ist ein großer Garten da mit Spielgeräten und guter Einsicht von Terasse und Küchenfenster. Auch zum Wasserwandern steht ein Kanu zur Verfügung und der nahe gelegene Hafen bietet Platz für Segler. Auch im Herbst und Frühjahr für Alt und Jung immer wieder zu empfehlen!

Immer wieder gern

Wir waren schon zweimal in diesem zweckmäßig (alles vorhanden,quasi wie zu Hause) eingerichtetem Haus zu Gast. Der Hausmeister empfing uns immer sehr freundlich und war sofort zur Stelle, wenn wir zum Beispiel eines von den zahlreich vorhandenen Fahrrädern ausleihen wollten oder nur eine simple Frage hatten. Für uns als Wassersportler liegt das Grundstück ideal, surfen ist nur wenige hundert Meter entfernt möglich, Motorboote kann man direkt im Ort ausleihen, segeln ist im Hafendorf Müritz möglich. Gaststätten und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind mehr als genug vorhanden. Auch für diejenigen, die einfach nur Ruhe und Erholung suchen, ist dieses Haus nur zu empfehlen. Kinder können sich auf dem hauseigenen oder auf einem der vielen Spielplätze im Ort austoben.

Owner's Response: Die Müritz und die gesamte Seenplatte eignet sich hervorragend für alle Arten des Wassersports - wir haben uns für die sanfte Fortbewegung entschieden. Ruderboot, Kanu und Kajak laden dazu ein und bieten für zwei bis vier Personen Platz. Ab und zu können wir auch zum Mitsegeln auf der Müritz einladen. Unser einsamer Bootssteg am Fahrradweg nach Vietzen soll im kommenden Winter bei einer tragfähigen Eisdecke repariert und wieder hergerichtet werden und steht dann auch den Urlaubern kostenlos zur Verfügung.
Für die sanfte Mobilität an Land stehen inzwischen acht neue Fahrrräder (Fa. Mifa aus Thüringen) bereit, dafür wurden acht alte Räder ausgemustert und der Warener Tafel gespendet.

Es muß nicht immer Italien sein

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Familienurlaub in Rechlin. Die Angaben aus dem Online-Inserat waren alle durchwegs korrekt. Der Zustand der Wohnung ist sehr gepflegt und sie ist für 4 Personen wirklich geräumig. Die Ausstattung lässt kaum einen Wunsch offen. Die Betreuung durch den Hausmeister vor Ort war bestens. Optimal fanden wir auch das Angebot, Fahrräder direkt an der FeWo ausleihen zu können. Ferner war insbesondere für unsere Kinder der große Garten (Federball, Fußball, Herumtollen, Radfahren usw.) ein Genuß. Die ruhige Lage hat uns ebenfalls sehr gut getan.
Für Naturfreunde (insbesondere Ornithologen) ist die Wohnung ein guter Ausgangspunkt für verschiedenste Exkursionen ob zu Fuß, mit dem Rad oder mit dem Kanu.

Owner's Response: Um das Angebot für Freunde des Wassersports noch zu erweitern, werden wir für Segler eine Jolle anschaffen, die sich bequem per Slipwagen an das Wasser bringen lässt.
So entfällt der Trailertransport und man kann trotzdem zum "Schnuppersegeln" an die Müritz reisen.
