GOLFING
The climate makes it possible to play golf all year round. The province of Cadiz alone has seventeen courses from which to choose, and the selection of several of these to host prestigious tournaments has led to worldwide recognition of Cadiz as one of the best golfing holiday destinations in Europe. The Valderrama Golf Club, which hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup and nine consecutive Volvo Masters tournaments, has been voted Europe's best course by the world's golf press on several occasions.The courses closest to Villa Innisfree are the Campano Golf Club, the Golf Melia Sancti-Petri and the Novo Sancti Petri Golf Club, where the course was designed by Spain's first major golf star, Severiano Ballesteros.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
The climate allows golf to be played all year round .The endless coastline accommodates a wide range of seaborne and underwater activities, including windsurfing and waterskiing. Suppliers of motorbikes, scooters and quad bikes abound. Jerez has a May Horse Show, and an equestrian school and museum, and the region has ample horse riding and tuition outlets. For a family day out, there is an Aqua land theme park, near El Puerto de Santa Maria . The towns of the sherry triangle, and many others, have a plethora of wineries and bodegas to visit. Both Cadiz and Jerez offer camera oscura displays, giving a 360 degree tour of their city in real time. Flamenco is everywhere, whether in set festivals or impromptu performances. There are boat trips from Sanlucar into the Donana National Park, and from Tarifa and Gibraltar to see the high concentration of whales (many species) and dolphins (three species)which frequent the area where the Atlantic and Mediterranean meet.
