Situated in the picturesque village of Unsleben in the heart of Lower Franconia , our captivating 12th-century castle has been the country home of the Habermann family for generations. Set amidst the rolling wooded hills and lush farmlands of the Rhön-Grabfeld region, Castle Unsleben offers a quiet, peaceful retreat from the cares and worries of daily life and a perfect base for daily excursions to explore the area's many historic towns and natural and cultural attractions. A genuine Wasserschloss (it means that the castle is surrounded by a moat), Castle Unsleben offers two holiday accommodations for couples or families.

The 750-square-foot apartment is situated in the castle itself. It offers a large main room – the “Blue Room” – with settee, chairs, tables, satellite television and a uniquely situated double bed nestled in the library corner. The bath is equipped with WC, double sink and tub with hand shower. A modern kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, cook top and oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffeemaker, cookware, tableware, sink, dishwasher and dining area. An additional small bedroom that is easily accessible from the apartment accommodates two more people.

Es ist ein wirklich tolles Gefühl in diesem Schloss seinen Urlaub zu verbringen. Man fühlt sich in alte Zeiten zurück versetzt. Muss aber trotzallem auf keinen Komfort verzichten. Alles was man sich wünscht findet man in diesem Appartment vor. Die Umgebung lädt zu vielen Wanderungen ein. Sucht man die Aufregung der Stadt ist man hier falsch. Wenn man hingegen mal wieder richtig die Ruhe genießen möchte hat man das perfekte Domizil gefunden.

Den Aufenthalt im Wasserschloss Unsleben kann man ohne jegliche Einschränkungen empfehlen. Das Schlossapartment besticht durch seine einzigartige Atmosphäre, die sie sofort in ihren Bann zieht. Wir haben das Schloss im Juli besucht und werden auf es jeden Fall wieder aufsuchen, da wir uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt haben und auch von unseren Gastgebern nur das Beste zu berichten wissen. Danke für einen kurzen aber sehr schönen Aufenthalt.

Wir sind sehr nett empfangen worden und fanden das Schloss noch schöner und interessanter als auf den Fotos.
In der Ferienwohnung fehlte es uns an nichts und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl.
Alles in allem sehr romantisch und unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Wasserschloss Unsleben

Uns hat es ganz gut gefallen,vor allem das Flair, daß das Schloss verbreitet ist schon beeindruckend. Auch das Frühstück ,dass wir dazu gebucht hatten und das uns jeden Morgen pünklichst vor die Tür gestellt wurde, ließ keine Wünsche offen. Auch unsere beiden Kinder waren begeistert, da sie sich als Schlossherren fühlen durften. Da wir mit dem eigenen PKW angereist waren, war es auch kein Problem, die Gegend zu erkunden und uns die Freizeit zu gestalten (z.B. Sommerrodelbahn, Wildpark, Haus der kleinen Wunder, etc.).
