Situated in the picturesque village of Unsleben in the heart of Lower Franconia , our captivating 12th-century castle has been the country home of the Habermann family for generations. Set amidst the rolling wooded hills and lush farmlands of the Rhön-Grabfeld region, Castle Unsleben offers a quiet, peaceful retreat from the cares and worries of daily life and a perfect base for daily excursions to explore the area's many historic towns and natural and cultural attractions. A genuine Wasserschloss (it means that the castle is surrounded by a moat), Castle Unsleben offers two holiday accommodations for couples or families.

This cosy, country-style house attached to the castle features a sleeping room whose double bed is bathed in morning sunshine from the east-facing windows. The bathroom sports WC, sink, tub/shower and electric towel warmers. A full kitchen is equipped with all modern conveniences, including refrigerator, cook top and oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffeemaker, cookware, tableware, sink and dishwasher. The living area has a comfortable recliner, chairs and settee, small tables, a wood-burning fireplace and satellite television. There is ample closet space throughout, and the house's round “Tower Room” is an additional bedroom that sleeps one (or two young children).

"Unser" Schloss war sehr romantisch, wir fühlten uns in vergangene Zeiten versetzt, schon Dank des Kamines (morgentliches und auch sonst Heizen). Abends der offene Kamin und ein Hörbuch - den Fernseher haben wir kaum gebraucht Absolute Ruhe ringsrum.
Einige Schritte zum Bäcker und Fleischer. Alles andere ca. 7km zu den nächsten Orten. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Tages- und Wandertouren. Die Ferienwohnung war sehr geräumig. Wohnraum mit Küche und Eßbereich, kleines Schlafzimmer, Bad und ein separates Turmzimmer aber ohne Heizung. Es war alles lebensnotwendige drin und zweckmäßig eingerichtet.
Owner's Response: Romantik, Ruhe und Leben in historischen Schloss-Mauern - dabei gut gelegen für Ausflüge, Einkäufe fürs Lebensnotwendige - so fühlen auch Sie sich sicher wohl bei uns!

Das Falkennest ist ideal für Urlauber, die ungestört sein möchten, daher auch geeignet für einen Urlaub mit einem kleinen Kind, welches noch in ein Reisebettchen passt.

Allerdings fanden wir die Einrichtung etwas zu zusammengestückelt, antikes mit modernem und nachgemacht-antikem.

Der Schloss-Flair ist natürlich toll! Wir hatten auch das Glück, das richtige Falkennest mit kleinen Falken darin zu sehen! Super-süß!
Owner's Response: ... ideal auch für Verliebte... (noch) ohne Kind!. Der Einrichtungsstil? Am besten selbst davon überzeugen auf unserer Homepage oder in natura. Antik-nachgemacht???

Burgromantik und Natur pur!

Einzigartiges historisches Ambiente und absolute Ruhe. Das Burghäuschen versetzt den Gast in eine längst vergangene Zeit, ohne dabei auf ein gutes Maß an Komfort verzichten zu müssen. Die Ausstattung ist rustikal und dem Objekt angepasst. In der kalten Jahreszeit bietet die Heizung mit dem Kaminofen ein zusätzliches Plus an Romantik und Gemütlichkeit. Das Schlafzimmer und Bad kann mit einer kl. Elektroheizung gewärmt werden, was im Winter auch notwendig ist. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet und läßt für Hobbyköche kaum Wünsche offen - hier kann man auch aufwändigere Speisen zubereiten und stilgerecht servieren. In der Wohnung findet man außerdem interessante Bücher und Informationen zur Region. Schöne Spaziergänge und Wanderungen können direkt vom Schloß aus unternommen werden. Romantiker, Naturfreunde und Ruhesuchende sind hier in der Tat bestens aufgehoben!
