Costa Adeje holiday apartment: Del Duque

We stayed at this apartment for 2 weeks between 7 and 21 March 2009. Before now we had booked holidays with tour operators and had not booked direct with an owner.
We were delighted at how good the accommodation was and how straightforward and reasonably priced the holiday was.
The apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable.The outside areas in particular were spacious and great for sunbathing and eating al fresco.
The complex was beautiful and was immaculately kept.
The first photo shown is the view from the balcony to the pool. The pool was a good size with shallow and deep ends and was never crowded-quite quiet in fact.
It is a short walk to the beach-which is beautiful and not black sand-it looks as if the sand has been imported.
It is an exclusive resort-there are several outstanding 5 star hotels nearby-and lovely places to eat and drink.There are a couple of basic and fairly small supermarkets very close to the apartment.We found a much better supermarket within walking distance and there were some very excusive designer shops about a 15 minute walk away.
There is a little fishing town La Calleta which is about a twenty minute walk away to the right where there are several fish restaurants.
If you walk to the left from the apartment in the other direction from La Calleta you are walking towards Fanabe and Torviscas which are livelier.
We did not hire a car-we have been to Tenerife before and seen most of the sights.You do not need a car to stay at this apartment and we were glad that we did not bother with one.There is a taxi rank a short walk from the complex and a bus stop just outside if you want to go any distance.
