'Courege Longue' - 'A haven of tranquility, surrounded by beautiful countryside', and yet is only a few minutes drive from 'Cenac' where you will find bars, restaurants, shops and supermarket. Our relaxing apartment is set in a large enclosed garden,with terrace area where you can relax at the end of the days sightseeing with a glass of wine, or watch the kids splash around in your own private pool, or take a cooling dip yourself! The apartment is split into two levels : Downstairs you have a large Garden Room and Kitchen , the kitchen is fully equipped (if you can tear yourself away from all those gourmet restaurants!)this opens out to the terrace area pool & garden, where you will also find the BBQ!!. Upstairs you enter on to a cosy lounge area which has a selection of books & Games & DVD player, great for relaxing away from the sun. Off the lounge is a shower room and seperate WC and the 2 spacious double bedrooms which are beautifully decorated for that luxurious feel.

  • We require a 25% non refundable booking deposit, and the balance to be paid eight weeks before arrival.

    On arrival we require a security deposit of 200 euro, this is held until day of departure or in early morning departure is refunded within 2 weeks, after apartment is checked.
  • All bed linen, towels, bath towels, pool towels, kitchen towels and heating are included in the rental rate. As also a weekly clean.

Notes: 'Courege Longue' is a split level apartment with the bedroom and bathroom accommodation on the second floor with 2 flights of stairs in between, so maybe unsuitable for guests that find stairs a problem.For our very young guests we can supply them with a stair gate for their safety. You also have your own private parking space. Our garden is enclosed and there is plenty of room for the kids to run around and some shady areas for the younger ones. We have some inflatables for the pool, but do feel free to bring your own! The pool is chlorine based, and is cleaned and checked regularly, it is one depth throughout of around 1.50 meters. So don't forget the kids rubber rings arm bands and of course the suncream!! We are set up for wireless broadband, so feel free to bring your computer along.

Horse riding and Ballooning!!: A ten minute walk from 'Courege Longue' lies an equestrian centre where you can take a horse or a pony out for a trek round the area, riding through the nearby forests and even past your apartment !! If you would like to experience a Balloon ride, there is a Balloon centre a few minutes drive away, take a flight and see the sights and take ariel photos ! You will also get a great view of the apartment!!! We will be happy to arrange or help you with any of these trips for you on your arrival.

Cenac and surrounding area: Cenac is situated just below Domme,&from Cenac you can leave your car & take the walking route up to the Bastide,about a 15-20 min walk (there are seats on the way up).Once in Domme wander through the streets or eat at the many restaurants,visit the cave & learn about the knights Templar (who were kept prisoners in the Bastide) take a little train around the streets & check out the stunning viewing point (if you look carefully you may see your apartment) For beautiful views of Castelnaud, Beynac & Roque Gageac, pack a picnic & hire a canoe for the day,& paddle down the Dordogne river,or take a day off from sightseeing & relax at one of the inland sandy beaches,which have changing facilities,snack bars & are safe for the kids. During the Summer season both Cenac & Domme,offer plenty of Fetes,not forgetting 14th July Bastille day. For evening excursions Sarlat by night is beautiful,with cafes and street entertainers,or just relax with a glass of wine & watch the sunset from the terrace.

Your Arrival !: We live in the main part of the house adjoining the apartment with our very friendly dog 'Oscar' and will be here to meet you on your arrival and show you around the apartment and answer any questions you may have and if you need any help or advice during your stay we will be only too pleased to help. A Gem of a Retreat

We are so glad we found this gem of a retreat. The gite is beautifully furnished, stylish and spotlessly clean. The garden is quiet and relaxing and the pool very well looked after. Alll this and in a lovely location in the countryside with glorious views - and oh! those sunsets - but only a stones throw from the pretty village with more than adequate facilities. Mike and Irene are wonderful hosts, on hand but certainly not intrusive. If we have not ourselves relocated to the Perigord Noir area of France by next year - we will certainly be back to Courege Longue. Thankyou, Mike and Irene for the very helpful advice regarding our imminent move.

"As veterans of family holidays in France for more than twenty years, we can honestly say that Courege Longue is the most well-equipped, comfortable and stylishly presented holiday home we have ever rented. Nothing was too much trouble for Mike and Irene, the owners, to ensure that we had a relaxing stay. The pool and the outside dining area were perfect and the orchard garden was a restful, cool retreat from the hot weather. The house is ideally placed in a peaceful location but within a short drive from all amenities with plenty to see and do whatever your age. We would not hesitate to recommend it and hope to go back next year."
