The local area:
3min Drive into the village of Stylos are small shops for everyday provisions and local tavernas. The busier beachfront and village of Kalives (10mins away) the nearest 'largest' town has chemist, bakery, veg shops (which also sell the local red and white village wines!), banks, post office, numerous tavernas and cafes, mini-markets and two small beaches. Vamos - Health Centre, Tavernas and ATM. Chania (30 mins away) - (a bustling Venetian harbour) - Scuba diving, boat trips, water slide park, Saturday morning market, banks and much, much more. Chania, once the capital of ancient Crete, offers quaint, narrow streets as well as a beautiful harbour lined with tavernas and cafes serving excellent local cuisine. Further afield, a water park at Limnoupolis, the biggest karting track in Crete, opportunities for boat trips from the harbour at Chania and historical sights such as the World War 2 Allied and German cemeteries. 'Petra' has its own large infinity 1.6m deep swimming pool. There is a shallow end of 1m depth (Children must be supervised at all times). A poolside shower is fitted. Sun loungers, tables and chairs are provided for use on the balconies, terraces and pool area. There is a large outside covered Kitchen and BBQ, ideal for the 'chef' of your family. Villa Petra is an ideal location it really does feel like you are 'living with the Greek Gods'
