This brand new spacious self-catering apartment has 3 double bedrooms. The master bedroom has en-suite facilities and two have sea views, one with balcony. The spacious 20ft lounge/diner has balconies at each end and comfortably sits 6 people and comes with air conditioning/heating, T.V, DVD and i-pod base. The full size, well equipped kitchen has quality appliances including hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine and a dishwasher to remind you that you are on holiday. The large bathroom has bidet and bath/shower. Upstairs there is a furnished roof terrace with stunning views. There is a secure underground car park or plenty of parking directly outside on the harbour. On one side of the apartment you can watch the sun rise over the sea or on the other have breakfast in the shade overlooking the palm tree courtyard listening to the waterfall. With sea views and beaches a minute's walk away this is a fantastic chance to sample life in a traditional Spanish fishing village.

Attractions - busy Sunday morning market (clothes, linen and food) open June to end of August; trips on a glass bottomed boat from the Harbour; Aqua park and beaches in Vera; Go-karting in Garrucha; beautiful views from the picturesque mountain village of Mojacar; watch a show at Mini Hollywood where they make the spaghetti westerns; take a day out in the Natural park of Cabo De Gato with empty beaches and wildlife; visit Cave houses in Cuevas De Almanzora; choice of golf courses including the renowned Desert Springs; beautiful sandy beach at San Juan. The busy town and port of Almeria is an hour's drive away and Granada with its stunning Alhambra Palace, gardens and Moorish history only 2hrs away.

An excuse to return

We enjoyed a tranquil and relaxing week’s holiday. The apartment is spotless, well served and spacious. There were 5 of us including 3 teenage boys and there was plenty of room. August was an exceptionally hot month to visit but the fans worked well to keep the summer heat away. The apartment is next to the harbour and a shingle beach is about 10 minutes walk away. About another 10 minutes takes you to a sandy beach with an excellent restaurant next to it.
There are plenty of other beaches to visit as well as other towns. We particularly like Aguillas which is a bustling town about 30 minutes away and in the opposite direction, Mojacar which rises stunningly from the plain. The boys enjoyed the water park near Vera which is next door to an excellent supermarket. Car hire is essential for exploring the area and there are plenty of places to visit of which we only managed a few which will give us an excuse to return.
The transfer from Murcia airport is about 1.5 hours on stress free roads through the mountains. Overall an excellent place to stay and would highly recommend to friends and family.

A Perfect Holiday

We spent a week in June at the appartment.Both on arrival and throughtout a really relaxing week. The apartment in terms of its comfort, space and peacefulness completely exceeded our expectations. Some rooms and the roof terrace had views of the sea. The Owners provided us with comprehensive and accurate details about the apartment, the journey from the airport (which was a pleasure as the Spanish roads are relatively free of trafic and the main roads very well maintained and signposted),the location itself and things to do. Being met by a really helpful friend of the Owner who lives in another apartment, made sure that we got the best of our time at Harbour Lights and had no worries during our stay.The attention to detail in terms of the way in which the appartment was equipped, decorated and furnished resulted in an experience that was about living in a stylish home rather than a holiday let. This apartment was very well equiped by many things including:ceiling fans throughout and air conditioning in principal rooms, the i-pod base, two bathrooms, washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge / freezer, television, quality linen etc. The communal pool was excellent and perhaps due to the time of year when we visted, we were often the only people in the pool, which was clean, warm and large. By hiring a car we were able to explore the area and access an excellent supermarket in a neighbouring town. We enjoyed eating in and eating out at nearby restaurants. The fact that we do not speak Spanish was not a problem,we found everyone we met to be friendly and helpful. We would certainly recommend the apartment for a wonderfully relaxing holiday to our family and friends,

When we booked this apartment we didn't know what to expect but when we arrived it exceeded our expectations. It was very spacious and had everything you could need. The decor and furnishings were of a very high standard which gave the apartment a homely feel. The beds were really comfortable which was great as sometimes that can be one of the things that lets holiday apartments down. The towels that were provided were of a very high quality as was everthing that was provided. The apartment has a fantastic sea view and the view from the roof top terrace is something else. The pool area was really nice and relaxing. The owner allowed us to check-in early as we arrived early in the morning and there had been no-one in before us which was great. From start to finish of booking the apartment Jeanne the owner has been really great and prompt with all emails and also very helpful. The water park that is close by is great for all ages. There are some good resturants locally and a short drive in to garrucha or mojacar offers a wide range of cuisine from traditional spanish tapas to indian, chinese or plain english food. The sunday market in villaricos is a must visit as there are some bargins to be had. Overall we had a really great holiday and we will be recommending to our family and friends.

Beautiful, spacious modern apartment

We spent a few days here out of season in January and were tired and disorientated when we arrived following a weeks skiing in Sierra Nevada, thankfully the apartment was beutiful, spacious, tastefully decorated and spotless. We were greeted by a friend of the owner, given recommendations of where to shop and eat in the village and made to feel very welcome. More about the apartment and complex, the apartment on the first floor had two balconies from the spacious ling ara and one of the bedrooms, there was a larger balcony looking out onto the courtyard, a pleasant qiet area where you can barbeque and relax. The large communal swimming pool and ten person jacuzzi are in two ajoining courtyards, just far enough away to keep the noise and disturbance levels low. The apartment has everything one could want and easily accommodated six people comfortably, the quality of the furnishings and fittings shows that the owners have furnished the property for thier own comfort and not as a purely holiday let, therefore visitors benefit from the owners styler and comfort requirmenets, far superior to the place we stayed in the week before, and exceptional value for money. Will definately book again and recommend to friends.
