Very nice apartment, ideal for resting close to the beach or to visit Lisbon City Center, Estoril and Cascais in a fast train, less than 20 minutes. Located in a quiet area very easy to access in public transportation, it's also the ideal location if travelling with a child since the beach, supermarket, restaurants and playground is in a walking distance. If the idea is exploring Lisbon and Cascais, Oeiras is the perfect location since is located half way from both places, without the traffic and fuss of all big cities.

Oeiras municipality was founded in 1759 by the Marquis of Pombal, as a reward granted by king José I to his minister for having reconstructed the city of Lisbon after the 1755 earthquake. In Oeiras the Marquis built a magnificent manor-house, the Palace of the Counts of Oeiras, which still exhibits grand stone staircases, statues, splendid tiles and beautiful gardens with cascades and an aqueduct with arches. Oeiras was once part of a defensive line of maritime fortresses built along the Lisbon coast between the 16th and 17th centuries, including the Bugio Fort (known as Bugio, rising on a tiny islet in the middle of the River Tagus) and the São Julião da Barra Fort, both examples of the Renaissance military architecture. Oeiras offers several new attractions and sites of interest, from the Fábrica da Pólvora (a former gunpowder factory from the 16th century) to the Poets Park (a vast green space with statues of Portuguese poets and writers) and the Palace of the Royal Estate at Caxia

Excellent flat!

We stayed in the flat for 10 days, fantastic location within walking distance to at least 2 beaches and plenty of bars/restaurants and 20 mins by train to Lisbon. There is also a shopping centre 5 mins away so it's easy to get any food and drink items you need.

The flat was very clean, airy, and well maintained, with a great view of the sea and the coast. It's cool during the day and warm at night, with quiet neighbours, all the rooms are excellent, the bed is comfy, and the TV has plenty of English speaking channels if you want a taste of home.

Sofia was really friendly, and booked us a taxi to get to the airport, she even picked us up when we got slightly lost on the way to the flat for the first time!

In short, this is a lovely flat with a really friendly owner, and my wife and I would unhesitatingly recommend it to anyone wanted to stay in the area.
