This spacious self-catering open-plan, eco-friendly, contemporary house and annexe are just 3 miles from the sea. They have recently been modernised They have their own private entrances, south facing terraces + decks, BBQs, + parking+ are situated in an acre wildflower meadow in the midst of lush Dorset countryside .Brimming with light + filled with wonderful country views of fields, cows grazing, wildlife, meadows + distant hilltops. There are many nearby beaches + the market town of Bridport is just down the road. The TV series forthe previous 'River Cottage HQ.' was filmed next door. Suitable for children +wheelchair accessible. No smoking + no pets allowed. The annexe sleeps 2-4 and the house can sleep up to 8.(There is alot of flexible space). The house and annexe can be booked independently or as a whole.There is an adjoining door.The whole property can sleep 12.

My husband, 2 boys (aged 6 and 8 years) had a lovely time staying in the annexe. The scenery was amazing and we all enjoyed watching the pheasant of a morning come into the back yard along with a lot of other small native birds. We were lucky enough to be in Bridport on the second weekend of the month when the local farmers market was on. We bought amazing organic fruit, veg, eggs and meat for a delightful dinner at the annexe. In the afternoon we went to Lyme Regis and the following day we drove to Lulworth Castle. We found the accommodation to be in a great location for those that love to holiday near both rural and seaside settings. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Colmers View is all you could wish for in a holiday retreat. It is quite, airy and spacious, situated in beautiful rolling countryside. The views are wonderful.The host is friendly and welcomming. My wife is in a wheelchair and we found the cottage wheelchair friendly. The main bedroom is large with a vaulted ceiling. It has a wounderful super sized bed with luxury cotton bedding.
There is a modern funtional kitchen/diner and a spacious living area. there is a large deck area and wild garden.
Bridport is a thriving market town nearby and the local beaches are unspoilt.There is an excellent resturant/cafe at Burton Bradstock beach. Lyme Regis is a short ride away .
There is a wounderful garden at Abbotsbury. the area is very poular with walkers especally the coastal routes.
Recommended for:  People with Disabilities, Families with Young Children, Age 55+, Sightseeing
