This spacious self-catering open-plan, eco-friendly, contemporary house and annexe are just 3 miles from the sea. They have recently been modernised They have their own private entrances, south facing terraces + decks, BBQs, + parking+ are situated in an acre wildflower meadow in the midst of lush Dorset countryside .Brimming with light + filled with wonderful country views of fields, cows grazing, wildlife, meadows + distant hilltops. There are many nearby beaches + the market town of Bridport is just down the road. The TV series forthe previous 'River Cottage HQ.' was filmed next door. Suitable for children +wheelchair accessible. No smoking + no pets allowed. The annexe sleeps 2-4 and the house can sleep up to 8.(There is alot of flexible space). The house and annexe can be booked independently or as a whole.There is an adjoining door.The whole property can sleep 12.

We are a family with 4 children and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property. The garden is large and perfect for children to run and play. The views of the surrounding countryside are rare and priceless --simply outstandingly beautiful. We thought the house was lovely, especially the barn room from which you can enjoy the outstanding natural beauty in any weather. It is also a perfect vantage point for watching the children play although the garden is perfectly safe and enclosed. The barnroom also has a loft to sleep in which would be great fun for older children. The house has an Aga which we thought was fun to cook on but may not be for everyone. The area had many things to see and do, especially the gorgeous coastline only a short drive away. We enjoyed nights by the fire and stargazing from the fabulous wrap around deck. We highly recommend this property and we hope to return.

Wir (4 Erwachsene, 3 Jugendliche) haben die Tage in Colmers View sehr genossen und waren begeistert von dem Ferienhaus und der Umgebung. Die Beschreibung traf in allen Punkten zu. Das gemütliche, lichtdurchflutete Haus bot genügend Platz für uns alle, so dass man sich bei Bedarf auch zurückziehen konnte. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet und vor allem der helle Wintergarten mit der dreiseitigen Fensterfront bot einen tollen Blick auf den großzügig angelegten Garten und die dahinter liegenden Felder und Wiesen. Ein idealer Ort, um zu entspannen. Die Umgebung bietet vielfältige Freizeitmöglichkeiten, wie Wandern, Schwimmen oder Fahrrad fahren. In 10 Minuten ist man mit dem Auto am Badestrand und an der beeindruckenden Jurassic Coast, wo man auch ausgedehnte Küstenwanderungen unternehmen kann. Gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für Lebensmittel (auch biologisch) bietet das nahe gelegene Bridport. Die Vermieterin unterstützte uns mit vielen guten Tipps und war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen das Haus in jeder Hinsicht weiter.
