Best apartment we have rented

We had the distinct pleasure of using this apartment in early October/2009. Everthing was well above average. The apartment was sparkling clean and had all of the amenities. Great lighting, ample kitchen supplies and a beautiful sun deck. At first glance the apartment appears to be too far from Romes attractions, but with help from Vanessa and her husband we could easily navigate the metro and could get where we wanted in 20 to 30 minutes maximum. We have used rental apartments for 10 years and this is the best yet.

A LOVELY PLACE TO STAY!!

Spotlessly clean, the apartment was perfect and met all our needs. The kitchen was well equiped as was the bathroom which included towels, soaps, shampoos and washing machine! Although on the main road, it is in a gated complex in a safe and quiet spot and has a caretaker who is very friendly and helpful. The lovely sized garden is a big bonus!
We did not use the bus stop which is situated outside the apartment as we like to walk. From Cornelia metro station it took us approx 10 minutes.
Vanessas husband, who greeted us, gave some good information re local restraurants, good takaways etc. and her email communication and directions were very good. Not too far away is a market selling all sorts of fresh foods, meats, ham, cheese etc, which was a fun place to try out our very limited Italian!!
Being only 3 stops away from the Vatican, the centre is obviously a little futher to get to but it was nice in the evening to be able to get away from the bustle of town and into our own little retreat.
The weather was beautiful and with temperatures in the mid to late twenties we had no alternative but to try the delicious Itlalian ice cream!
We would definately like to return to Rome as there is so much more to see and re-visit. We would not hesitate to stay in this lovely apartment again!!

Wir haben uns während der drei Wochen, die wir in dieser Unterkunft verbrachten, rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Ausstattung dieser sehr gepflegten und sauberen Wohnung hätte besser nicht sein können (komplett eingerichtete Küche mit allen notwendigen Utensilien, komfortables Bett, modernes WC mit Dusche [mit einem grossen Vorrat an Haarwasch- und Duschmitteln], Waschmaschine [mit grossem Vorrat an Waschmitteln], grosse Terrasse mit Tisch, Stühlen und Sonnenschirm). Der Verkehrslärm der Via Aurelia ist nicht hörbar, da die Wohnung von einem davorstehenden Haus abgeschirmt wird. Zwei Buslinien (246 und 247) fahren direkt zur U-Bahn (Cornelia und Cipro). Gleich gegenüber befinden sich zwei gute Restaurants (Benedetto und Postiglione), die zu vernünftigen Preisen gute Mahlzeiten, auch lokale Spezialitäten, anbieten. Im kleinen Quartierladen neben dem Restaurant Benedetto findet sich alles, was man für den Alltag benötigt. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war äusserst angenehm, und ihre Betreuung liess schlicht nichts zu wünschen übrig. Wir können diese Ferienwohnung mit dem besten Gewissen weiterempfehlen und werden sie bei unserem nächsten Romaufenthalt ohne zu zögern wieder buchen. Ritorneremo (grazie di tutto)!
