Silves holiday villa: Cortes

casa amarela for me is the perfect base in the algarve a spacious villa which is obviously well cared for,from the moment you arrive and find your welcome pack you know you are going to enjoy your stay as much as we do its central location gives you easy access to horse riding,great cycle tracks,country walks,approx 20 mins to beaches,close to the historic town of silves complete with castle,the area has many good restuarants all very reasonably priced. the village of courtes is very peaceful and not like the mainstream hustle and bustle of some coastal resorts, the villagers are very friendly and welcoming i would say learn the basics of the language as it is greatly appreciated if you try and it does make your stay more enjoyable . car hire is a must to get around the area which you will find is very reasonably priced
my wife and i fell in love with the place and still go back without the children we have visited at various times of the year and always a great time even sunshine & shorts in january
if you have an interest in motor sport there is even a new race track (which i have not yet visited) outside portamao a short drive away it may even get to host f1 races i will certainly be checking booking dates for race events
there is just so much to see and do in the area i dont know where to start you could even jump on a train at tunes station (10 mins drive) for a day trip to lisbon a great journey which allows you to relax and view the countryside (go 1st class )
its also such a great place to relax and unwind just sit on the patio with a good book and a glass of wine and enjoy the view from the terrace ( the photos don't do it justice)
