The self catering apartment is designed sympathetically to the original style of the converted olive oil making building, so you will find a wealth of authentic Tuscan features such as terracotta floors and high timbered ceilings. Positioned on the 1st floor overlooking the main courtyard the apartment boasts the very latest modern day essentials. The two bedroom apartment is one of the largest and nicest on the development.

Local Area: In the heart of rural Tuscany a narrow winding road rises gradually uphill through the towns of Montopoli and Palalia to BORGO DI COLLEOLI. Conveniently situated just 45 kms from Florence, 40kms from Pisa, 50kms from Lucca. BORGO DI COLLEOLI is within easy reach of connection airports. The hamlet of Colleoli has several restaurants and bars, all within walking distance and the medieval town of Palalia is just a short drive or a 30 minute walk and has several shops, bars and restaurants.

Further Afield: BORGO DI COLLEOLI’s central location makes it an ideal base from which to explore the Tuscan wine trails and Tuscan countryside, pay homage to the region’s most famous renaissance cities or to visit some of the historic towns nearby such as San Miniato, Volterra, Certaldo Alta, Lucca, San Gimigiano and Siena. Enjoy a relaxing drive through the` Chiantishire` countryside and visit one or two of the world famous Chianti vineyards and savour a glass or two of wine. This stunning converted olive estate is just perfect for that special long weekend. The rooms are very elegant with everything you could wish for . We went at the beginning of October and the weather was fantastic- we sunbathed& swam (just) ,enjoyed stunning scenery all round and visited Lucca. Super food at all the different Restaurants we went to . If we didnt want to drive, the hotel restaurant was excellent and well priced. Also within walking distance excellent pizzeria (open sun lunchtime) and a good restaurant just down the road. Palalai 3 miles down the road ecellent for a breakfast coffee sitting in the sun. Loads of infomation, very helpful staff. There are 2 pools with plenty of sunbeds and shades in a delightful setting I would have no hesitation in recommending it to a friend. Dennis &Judy

Perfect Tuscan Holiday

My wife and I took a driving holiday from our base in Majorca in summer. Our very good friend had invited us to a special birthaday celebration at Borgo di Colleoli in Tuscany.After some scary moments on the corniche road on the Riviera and tunnels in Liguria we arrived at Palaia and the borgo.We were greatly impressed with the fabulous tree lined entrance up to the lovely old buildings of the palazzo with it`s welcoming communal courtyard.The first glass of vintage Chianti Classico went down smoothly.The apartment which we shared with friends had it`s own well furnished lounge,a bathroom for each bedroom and was very spacious.
Outside we had a panoramic view of the lovely Tuscan countryside and only a short walk ,over well cut lawns ,to the two swimming pools which we greatly enjoyed over the memorable week spent at the borgo.The enoteca courtyard and cellar restaurants were really great as were the local restaurants - we can highly recommend Fattoria Santa Lucia where we had a fabulous al frescoe buffet.
We had a great holiday and we shall be booking again for next summer

This is all you have ever dreamed an Italian holiday should be - fantastic countryside, idyllic Tuscan Villa hilltop setting, luxurious 5* plus accommodation, immaculate service, superb food and wine and friendly attentive staff. It even has 2 swimming pools. As you can see we loved it!. It was spotless, well-maintained and everyone spoke English so there were no language barriers. The local village has additional eateries and bars to explore and it is a short distance away from interesting sightseeing destinations including Florence.

A truly fantastic place to stay in the heart of beautiful Tuscany. The stunning approach to the 'Borgo' prepares you for the luxurious feel to the place. Service, food, accommodation, pool areas, etc - all 5 star. Whilst there is everything you could possibly wish for in terms of modern, home from home amenities and facilities, the owners have managed to retain a real Italian feel to the Borgo.

A car is needed to explore the many fabulous towns and villages especially as the location of the Borgo is so central to some of the key Tuscan sites.

Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to explore the heart of Tuscany - perfect for couples looking for a touch of 5 star romance!
