Firstly i would like to say that the description of the villa was nothing like it was advertised,the pool was more like an after thought rather than a real source of inspiration,the layout was not child friendly whatsoever,as you come through the front door there are steep steps immediately to your right,and as you go out of the patio doors the pool is more or less 2 ft away very dangerous for anyone with children.
The balconies if you could call them that, did not even have enough room for table and chairs they were extremely small and the seaview could only just be seen.
The furniture in the front room was just very basic the one advertised had a large sofa and large armchairs.
The cleanliness of the villa was immaculate and the owner was very helpful such as replacing a broken iron and a mobile radiator for the night time as it was freezing.
The villa is on 3 floors but the lower floor was underground and was just like a basement with no light whatsoever which is probably why the advertised photograph has all the lights on.
The villa was quite close to the old town but with a main road straight outside and a very steep hill i would not reccommend this for the elderly or families,i would say maybe 10 mins good walk to the thick of things.
I would not reccommend this property to a friend as it is very featurless it lacks in character and desperately needs some T.L.C.. the pool area has no view whatsoever.
My family and i our very easily pleased and very easy going but the overall experience of the holiday was a very big let down mainly due to the property,we are returning to Lanzarote in August 09 but we are not planning on staying in Villa Luis again.
Owner's Response: I respect the opinion of this customer, a villa can not please everyone, but I think that everything you say is not entirely correct, and that the description of the villa is in the ad, as it really is.
I just am going to clarify the comments that I think are really important.
Our three villas have some different elements in the decoration , but when a person asks for rent, we always say that you can see all the pictures on our website
The customer said that the exit doors to the patio the pool is very dangerous for children
The villa has two exit doors to the patio the pool, one is next to the pool, but the other is more distant.
The nearest door to the pool, has a lock with key, when a family has young children, you can lock this door and then remove the key, so that children can not open the door that is closest to the pool, and use the door that is farthest.
The basement is not an area without light whatsoever, has large windows that go from floor to ceiling, for light and ventilation, and can be seen in the pictures.
The Villa has large windows, has plenty of natural light and very sunny
The villa is not on a hill, the streets and its surroundings are not totally flat, but are relatively flat ground
