Charming villa set in approx.2 acres of garden on the outskirts of Carovigno and San Vito Di Normani.20 mins from Brindisi airport,1 hour 15mins from Bari airport and 8 mins from nearest beach(by car).Ideal location for a 'chill out' holiday.The accommodation is on 2 levels.Entering through the front door leads into the living room with an archway into the dining kitchen.The inner hall leads to a large double bedroom,another double bedroom which overlook the pool and a bathroom.From the living room a spiral staircase (access may be unsuitable for the very young or less mobile )leads to the basement which has 2 further double bedrooms and another bathroom.There is front covered terrace suitable for dining,outdoor pizza oven and roof terrace.(unsuitable for young children)unless supervised.The long driveway with secure gates ,pine trees and almond trees ensures privacy from the lane.To the rear of the villa with all day sunshine is the pool 12m x 6m and sun loungers + table and chairs

The villa is perfect location for a 'chill out' holiday or visiting the local attractions.The nearest towns are San Vito Di Normani and Carovigno.Both have numerous restaurants serving local caught fish and meat menus or of course pizzas!You can purchase provisions from the supermarkets or on market days buy local produce with other goods,shoes,clothes etc.The tourist town of Alberobello is well worth a visit renown for its trullis,Ostuni -White city set on a hillside overlooking the Adriatic with winding streets, bars,restaurants.For the chidren visit Zoo safari at Fasano.Lecce-Florence of the South has the remains of a roman Amphitheatre also numerous churches of baroque style.Brindisi is the ferry port for Greece and Croatio with a bustling marina.Nearest beaches are from 6 mins by car and the local nature reserve is also close by.After a busy day sightseeing/relaxing sit in the local towns piazzas watching the world go by,or watch the sun set over the pool at the villa.

    Rates are inclusive of bed linen,bath and beach towels,water,gas,electricity,pool maintenance, basic welcome pack,and final clean.Villa accommodates 8 in comfort.A booking deposit of 30% would be required with balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival.Security deposit chq of £200 reqd against breakages,damages or loss of keys,which will be returned within 10 working days of the end of the holiday after an inventory check.
    The welcome pack provided is a basic pack consisting of water,bread,cheese,butter,wine,beer and fruit juice.Chris or Norman will greet you on arrival
    The pool area is not fully enclosed so children would need to be supervised at all times as well as on the roof top terrace and around the spiral staircase indoors.Please use plastic glasses around the pool area and outside to minimise breakages and injuries.mid week stays considered .
  • A car is essential for the duration of your stay and can be collected from the airport on arrival by booking on line.
    The villa is comfortable and very private.
    We accept payment by cheque,or direct payment into our bank.Sorry payment by credit card is not available.
    We can send you directions prior to arrival and your keys will be handed over to you at arrival at the villa.
    The villa is available from 6pm on day of arrival and until 10 am on day of departure.

    Out and About.

    There is a beautiful church nearby which is worth a visit and the coast has numerous beaches to choose from to visit.The region is renowned for its olive trees and visit in May and you will see field upon field of poppies.The children will love the Zoo safari and cool boxes will available to take out on your day trips.You may want to get to the beaches early in August as this is when the Italians come to the area for their holidays.You will find a booklet at the villa highlighting the local sights
  • Staying In.

    The villa is in a very peaceful location and if all you want to do is stay by the pool with the odd visit to the nearest supermarket for your food and wine you will have comfort to do so.The pool has loungers and tables with parasols and the cooling breezes from the sea will we most welcome in the heat of August.The bookcase has a selection of books for adults and children which you are welcome to read during your stay.There is also a selection of maps and tourist brochures to help you decide where to go in the region.The tv receives BBC World news and a small selection of DVDs are available.
    Look out for the swallows flying over the pool for a quick drink and the bats in the early evening flying over too.Or you may wish to dine on the terrace with the family,which overlooks the front garden and the pizza oven.
    The villa is part way down a narrow and quiet lane and on approach in daylight you will see the Adriatic sea.
    If dark on arrival the driveway will be lit.

Notes: Although the villa does not have air conditioning there are ceiling fans in the living room & main bedrooms on the ground floor.At all the windows including the basement mosquito netting is in place.no ceiling fans in the basement bedrooms but this area is generally cooler in the hot months.There is a roof top terrace accessed by steps but due to the height of the walls is not suitable for use by young children and supervision would be required at all times, and also by the pool area as it is not gated.The dining kitchen seats 8 with glassware,cutlery,crockery and plastic glasses to use by the pool .There is a combined fridge freezer 4 ring gas hob with electric oven,dishwasher and microwave plus pots/pans.An archway leads to the comfortable living room with fireplace and sofas to seat 6 plus an additional chair.TV with entertainment centre DVD/CD player. There are books to read on the bookcase.Doors lead onto the front terrace where additional seating/dining is provided with lighting

About Puglia.: Until recently Puglia was a well kept secret except to the elite and the Italians.In recent years the British have discovered this region and it is now becoming a hot tourist spot known as Tuscany of the South.The area is green and lush and very unspoilt,abound with olive trees that are produced locally.In fact 70% of Italy's olive oil is produced here,and the region is said to supply 80% of Europe's pasta. The nearest towns are not touristy but are more than adequate for daily needs.And the local wines can be purchases at a fraction of the price in the U.K. The nearest airport is Brindisi which takes approx. 25 minutes to reach.Ideal if travelling with a family.The last thing you need at arrival at the airport is another long journey.In fact Bari which is about 1 hours drive away is almost all driven on the autosrada so making it a smooth journey. Lecce is worth a visit and perhaps worth a days excursion.You can go on an open top bus and see all or parts of the city as you wish.
