New Year rest!

We stayed in the larger of the cottages, Golightly, which is a 3-bed and very comfortable. There was just the 2 of us, and we bagged a last-minute bargain for 4 nights over New Year.
There wasn't a thing that i needed and couldn't find in the kitchen - it's very well equipped.
Julie and Mark (the owners) were both lovely - they left us a basket of goodies on arrival, which included a bottle of fizz. Even better than that, they'd stocked the kitchen with bread, milk and eggs - the 3 things we forgot (THANKS!). They were very friendly and flexible, which we appreciated.
The cottage is a lovely spot for exploring some of Somerset - it's surroundings are lovely. You can see and hear the M5, but it's a way off and doesn't bother you at all. This isn't the prettiest of cottage locations, it really is a working farm, but the cottage makes up for it, plus it really does depend on what you want.
I would only gripe about one thing - there isn't any outside privacy. You're literally in the farm courtyard when you open your front door, so anyone working, passing or visiting the farm house is a spectator. That being said, everyone was lovely, and very friendly, so it's only a tiny complaint. But if you, like us, were looking for a romantic getaway (glass of wine under the stars and all that as we'd just got engaged, even if it was very cold!), it may not be the one for you.
We had a super time at the cottage - it really is very nicely done. Good luck with your future developments.
Owner's Response: Golightly & Kitty guests have a patio area directly outside their own cottage. Tiarks cottage has its own private patio area to the rear of its cottage. There is also a large separate, enclosed communal garden across the courtyard which has a BBQ area, children's play area and sufficient space to play outdoor games! Yes, this is a working farm and therefore guests can experience farm life at first hand in luxury accommodation.
Best wishes, Julie & Mark Amesbury
