Notre R've is our traditional cosy Savoyard wood built chalet located in the authentic village resort of Bernex. Ideally located for Summer and Winter pursuits for both young and old alike. Bernex is situated in the north mountains of the Haute Savoie area of the Alps known as the Chablais Region . It is under 1 hour from Geneva Airport, or a 10 hour drive from UK or take the train to Evian and hire a car/taxi and drive to Bernex in under 15 minutes. Our detached chalet is in a fantastic location with stunning views and in excellent order throughout. It is well equipped, even for those that have very young families. There are 4 double bedrooms, two have balconies. Two with double and two with twins beds. There is also a double sofabed and single futon, if required. Three bedrooms are on the second floor, also a bathroom and separate loo. One bedroom is on the first floor, also a shower room and separate loo. Separate kitchen. Open Dining/Sitting - door to spacious balcony.

In the Summer Bernex offers plenty of activities – tennis, petanque, horse riding, mountain biking, parapente, fishing and rafting, together with recreational and cultural activities. With nearby golf, sailing, swimming, climbing, paragliding, white-water rafting and canyoning at Lake de la Beunaz, and the famous Dent d’Oche at 2222m high for those keen for a challenge. However, for those less adventurous there are many ramblers paths which accommodate all levels. More than enough to keep the most active of people busy on their relaxing holidays – you’ll need two weeks! If the local activities are not enough, Lake Geneva and Evian are 15 minutes away, have many attractions such as water sports, spa & thermal baths, beaches and bars to give you that waterside feel – not to mention Evian Mineral Water! There are various shops in Bernex which you can visit and sample some of the local products. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the views and atmosphere of this naturally beautiful area.

  • To make a reservations we would require a 25% non returnable Deposit. The balance would need to be paid at least 8 weeks prior to the holiday. We also require a £150 Security Deposit per week or part-week of rental, which subject to Terms & Conditions would be refundable approximately 2 weeks after your departure.

  • There are no hidden costs, price includes linen, towel, utilities and logs for the fire (in winter only!) and local holiday taxes together with a nice warm welcome from our French/English speaking key holder.

  • The Shower Room is on the first floor with a separate loo next door. There is a Full Bathroom, with shower attachment on the second floor with a separate loo next door. The Shower Room and Bathroom both have sinks.

There is also a travel cot which can be put into any of the bedrooms if required. There is also a double sofa bed in the sitting room. There are curtains which can be pulled across to provide privacy in this area. The chalet can sleep up to 11, if at least one is a baby!

Notes: There is a washing machine and dryer in the 'cellar' not in the kitchen. Whilst we do say 'non smoking only' that specifically refers to smoking inside the chalet - it is wooden built, let us say no more!

In the Winter Bernex offers its own ski area of 50 km, between 1000 and 2000 metres, with a variety of runs to suit all levels and also breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. It also boasts 34 snow canons with their own water reservoir. Winter Walking and Cross Country skiing are further activities that the Bernex valley, plateau du Gavot, has to offer, together with sleigh rides and sledging. Whilst Bernex offers sufficient skiing, there is also Thollon les Memises 10 minutes away, together with La Chapelle d’Abondance, under 30 minutes away which is linked to the vast Portes du Soleil ski area.
