A very nice apartment - good value, good location

The description is accurate.
The apartment is right by one of the ski lifts, and there's a hotel next door with a restaurant facing the slopes.
You can park outside temporarily to unload. You may be lucky and get a longterm parking space in the free parking area opposite, but we found this area was very popular and we had to park in the larger free car park about three mins walk away - no problem. There is also a covered car park (you have to pay).
Very nice views being at the top of the building - there is a lift to the floor below and the final short staircase is no hassle at all.
The property is ideally situated for skiers but is also satisfactory for non-skiers who can easily get to Mottaret centre by bucket lift or Meribel by bus. The apartment building location is a couple of minutes from the continuously running bucket lift and "le Hameau" which is a small shopping centre - it has the essentials (another restaurant, ski-hire/clothes etc, small supermarket, shop with newspapers/delicatessen/gifts, also a pizza takeaway and a bar where you can get wireless connection, all perfectly adequate and with a very nice "atmosphere" but there is also Mottaret Centre (actually at the bottom of the village) with lots more shops and restaurants and the tourist office
The property was clean and well-maintained. It's comfortable, very light, and the second wc/washbasin attached to the bedroom is a rare luxury in my experience, as is the washing machine in the kitchen.
The kitchen is well appointed with all you need.
All the beds convert to seating in the daytime. The living room is a good size so that having the double bed out is not at all restrictive to moving about. There is also a futon in the living room for the fifth person. There were just three of us so we had plenty of space. It's good value even for three.
The owner provided excellent customer service and speaks/writes good English and responds very quickly to any queries.
I would certainly recommend this property to others for an enjoyable holiday in such a convenient location in Mottaret.
I think being at the "top" of Mottaret in le Hamea area was an advantage - the best views and no less convenient than anywhere else in Mottaret.
Knowing Meribel, and Meribel Village as well, I think Mottaret is now my preference.
