The Chalet-Gite Les Echines Dessous is a skilfully renovated Traditional Alpine Chalet spread over 4 Floors (including mezzanine) and sleeps 10-14 people. There are 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with jacuzzi whirlpool bath and power-shower, a huge lounge-diner with traditional fireplace & log fire, a stunning upper floor with open-beamed ceilings & vast windows overlooking the entire Isere Valley & the slopes of Les Arcs and La Plagne. Located in Les Echines Dessous the chalet is just 4km from the Funicular Railway and the TGV station in Bourg with year round amenities, restaurants shops & bars. Relax in the 6 man hot-tub on the panoramic terrace and sip a glass of champagne whilst the hot jets massage and soothe your legs and back, or watch the flames flicker in the fireplace over a Raclette or Fondue and a glass of local wine. The chalet is located just 4km from the Funiucular to Les Arcs/La Plagne the Paradiski area, the 2nd largest ski area in the World! The new linked ski area boasts 425km of ski-piste, 3 glaciers, 2 peaks over 3,000 metres, Villaroger, the longest ski-piste in the world (7 km) and a new Vanoise Express Double Decker Cable Car (4 minute ride) and a Funicular that takes just 7 minutes to rise 650 metres! The world renowned resorts of Val d’Isere, Tignes, La Rosiere and Ste Foy are all just 10-20 minutes or so away. A traditional French Alpine Village Les Echines Dessous nestles on a South facing “versant (sunny) slope. We are just 15 minutes from the Beaufort region and Vanoise national park. From La Rosiere you can take the Petit St Bernard to Italy and La Thuile in the Aosta valley. Albertville, the location of the 1992 Winter Olympics is just 20 minutes away and there is every conceivable winter and summer mountain sport available just a short drive away.

Ski Resorts within 10-40 minutes drive: Nearest: Les Arcs/La Plagne-Paradiski area, 4kms to the Funiculaire (just 7 minutes drive) 420 kms of piste Sainte Foy Tarentaise: 20 minutes...perhaps the best kept secret in the valley...the resort that instructors form other resorts go to, to escape the crowds .....! Ski pass just 25 Euros per day. La Rosiere: 15 minutes to Les Ecudets in Seez and 35 minutes to the main resort. From La Rosiere you can Ski the Saint Bernardo Ski area and cross over to Italy and La Thuile in the Aosta valley. Tignes/Val d'Isere: The Espace Killy is just 40 minutes away by car. Thses top international resorts are open for skiing throughout the year...that means you can even ski on the glaciers in July and August! Try Heli-skiing or off-piste guidied skiing.... Wherever you want to ski, whatever your ability, there is something for everone in the Tarentaise/Isere valley.
