The apartment, situated 5 mins walk from Kobla ski station & 15 mins drive from Vogel, is also close to the restaurants, bars & local amenities of Bohinjska Bistrica. With the Aquapark 10 mins walk away plus lakes Bohinj and Bled close by, hiking and walking are possible all year round. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area for 4 people. Kitchen includes ceramic hob, oven and fridge. Lounge is tastefully set out, also featuring Plasma TV and cable TV. Bathroom includes wash basin, power shower and toilet. Bedroom has a double bed and fitted wardrobes and all towels & linen are provided. Ski/equipment storage is provided downstairs in the basement. Apartment has central heating throughout and private parking.

Set in the Triglav National Park, Bohinjska Bistrica is a fabulous base for all year-round outdoor activities. In the area there are opportunities for skiing, snow-boarding, swimming, rafting, sailing, kayaking, hiking, mountaineering, golf, tennis & mountain biking. Bohinjska Bistrica is 10 mins from Lake Bohinj, 15 minutes from Lake Bled & 2 hours from the coast. The village has ample restaurants & shops. There is also a unique car train.

Getting to Slovenia: Many flights are available from the UK with Easyjet (Stansted - Ljubljana daily), Adria (Gatwick - Ljubljana daily) and Birmingham, Dublin & Manchester nearly every other day. Other options include Ryanair Stansted to either Klagenfurt (Austria) or Trieste (Italy).

Directions from Ljubljana Airport: Exit airport left heading towards Kranj. Head towards Jesenice on motorway (green signs in Slovenia), continue to Lesce where exit will be signed for Bled. Then follow signs towards Bohinj (brown sign) or Bohinjska Bistrica. After approximately 15 minutes you enter Bohinjska Bostrica, turn left at sign for Tolmin/Skofa Lokja. Follow road up past Restaurant Tripic on your right hand side and the Aqua park on your left. Follow the road, turn left before Kobla ski station then the road bends to the right and you will see the Lip Bled woodyard. Our apartment is the 2nd block on the new development on the right hand side, turn right after 400 yards. Note for all car users in Slovenia - headlights should be on at all times.

We have just returned from a very successful holiday in Slovenia. We found the apartment immaculately decorated and clean with very high quality fixtures and fittings. The rooms were much larger than I would have expected and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony. I would recommend the apartment for couples although we found it fine for 3 adults. The third bed is a sofa bed in the lounge which was fine for a young adult but might not have suited everyone if they like more privacy. The apartment is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of the village but we had no problems walking in every evening to eat in the very good pension or have a drink at the bar. I would recommend a torch for walking back though as not all the roads have pavements. We liked Bohinjska Bistrica as it was in a good position to visit the lakes. We hired a car but also used the local buses which seemed very reliable. The letting agent was also local and very helpful. We had a very enjoyable holiday and would definately use the apartment again if we were visiting the area.
