Mandelieu-La-Napoule holiday apartment

We just came back from two weeks in this appartment where we had a great time. The appartment is in an excellent location with pool right outside the door and shops and restuarants just five minutes away, though a better selection of restuarants can be found by walking down to the beach area. Our favourites were opposite the fort in La Napoule.

The beach itself is a 20 minute walk along the river, but we were lazy and drove and used the plentiful free parking available. The local beaches we tried were clean with good facilities - definitely worth a trip if that is in your plan. Halfway between the appartment and the beach is a restuarant which does great moules et frites along with live music - this makes a good rest stop for a drink.

The appartment is very welcoming and has everything you need and more - it really feels like home. The balcony is super special; lazily reading during the day and candles and wine every night really made this holiday for us. We ate out every night apart from one, but this was just our choice; the kitchen is very well equipped and you could easily cook whatever you fancy.

Dealing with the owners and their agent in France was no problem at all, which is nice on this kind of rental. The agent was waiting for us when we arrived and gave us all the local information that we asked for.

We had our car with us and made good use of this for trips to Grasse and Vence up in the mountains, Cannes and Monaco. We tried for St Tropez but in July the traffic wasn't good so we just hit a local beach en route instead. The appartment is easily located for the motorway and has it's own garage. We also took a drive to the Canyon du Verdon - well worth a trip and you have to hire a kayak for an hour or two and paddle up to complete the view (though go over the bridge and rent at the second place, east side of the river, no queues at all).

Overall, this was a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday for us and we would happily reccommend this location and particularly this appartment.

The apartment was very well planned and clean, we were three people staying and with the extra bed in the bedroom it was very comfortable. The large balcony is excellent for having all the meals and for relaxing in the evening, overlooking the pool. The closeness to the pool (just a few steps away) is also an advantage if you do not want to walk the 20 minutes to the beach, there are a lot of beaches within reasonable walkin distance, but I would recommend a car in order to be able to reach more places. If you are fond of Golf it is an ideal place there are two courses in the city, but bring your own set! As a summary - Our overall impression is that Mandelieu is a very calm and relaxing place and the apartment is very good for two or three persons or two adults with two children.

Had a great holiday in this beautiful apartment which is accurately described by the owners. It is in a perfect unspoilt location with transport, restaurants and shops within walking distance. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the pool and Esterel Hills of an evening with a meal and glass of wine was the perfect way to end a day. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to a friend and hope to return. The owner, Kevin, provided excellent customer service, very approachable, helpful and friendly.
