This lovely cottage is in a tiny hamlet close to Trémolat. The French owners live in their own cottage across the courtyard. The cottage has been attractively restored and is very comfortably furnished in regional style. There is a large sitting/dining room with a stone fireplace and a period single bed which doubles as a sofa. Steps lead up to the kitchen/breakfast room, the bathroom leads off this, and has a bath and shower. Separate wc. Open plan stairs lead to a large, pretty mezzanine bedroom which has its own terrace with lovely country views and complete privacy. There is a splash pool and a very pretty garden. Ideal for couples. The following are also provided - satellite television, radio/cassette, washing machine, dishwasher, full size cooker, refrigerator, microwave, electric heating (if required at extra cost), garden furniture and barbecue. Bed linen and towels for bathroom which includes a weekly change. A charming cottage in a very pretty and tranquil environment.

The 'Perigord Noir' is a beautiful and tranquil area with attractions to interest everyone. Activities include visiting historic castles, (Beynac, Castlenaud to name but two), canoeing down the river Dordogne, walking (access to the GR 6, a major trail, is a two minute walk away) , cycling, exploring the numerous caves ( Lascaux among others) and prehistoric sites, shopping at picturesque local markets (Le Bugue, Lalinde and many others), wandering around the beautiful Bastide towns (Monpazier, Lalinde, Beaumont) and much much more. Or you can spend a day visiting the many vineyards around Bergerac, enjoying the beautifully restored world heritage town of Sarlat or exploring the nearby medieval town of Limeuil set on a hill overlooking the confluence of the Dordogne and Vezere rivers. During the summer months, music concerts in local abbeys and churches and night markets abound.
