A beautiful village, Azille is located in the heart of the Minervois wine growing region of the South of France. Situated in an elevated position, Azille benefits from magnificent views overlooking vineyards, olive groves and extending as far as the Pyrenees. The village itself boasts a number of wine caves selling superb wines at very attractive prices and almost all offering complementary degustations! Many activities take place during the year including outdoor markets, flea markets, the annual Feria - a testament to the local Spanish influence, and a music festival in July. Azille is set close to the Canal du Midi, offering opportunities for waterside walks and bike rides, not to mention leisurely canal cruises for the aspiring sailor! A less crowded alternative to the coast, Lac Jouarres, set but a mile from the village, offers family fun throughout the summer. Opportunities to swim, sail, fish or merely laze on the beach area make this a much loved venue on sunny days!

Notes: The kitchen, lounge and dining areas are open plan, with patio doors extending across the front of the property and high beamed ceilings. The kitchen is equipped to an excellent standard with all electrical appliances, including an American style fridge-freezer and an espresso machine. A breakfast bar seating 4 people separates the kitchen and dining areas. The lounge offers an open log fire and is luxuriously furnished with mocha leather sofas, coffee tables and a large LCD TV with DVD player and cinema style surround sound. The private 12x6m pool is alarmed and equipped with underwater lighting. The villa benefits from a covered terrace with a large charcoal BBQ and a wrought iron table with seating for eight; the terrace leads to the pool decking on which there are 8 sun loungers. The games room is equipped with a pool table, table football, badminton and gym equipment; the ping pong table is outside. There is an extensive collection of books, DVDs and board games available.

We spent the first 2 weeks of Sept 09 at Kilima. Excellent modern property, the owners have really thought about every need. Owners very easy to deal with and returned security deposit very promptly. House is very clean and well maintained. Games room is a real bonus, especially for our older teenagers. Great weather 28-32C. Wonderful to wake up to views of vineyards, breakfast on one of the many terraces, then supper by the pool at 8pm still 30C - bliss. Only downside was pool was very cold but probably because we went late in season. Visits to the beach at Narbonne, Go-Karting at Gruissan, boat out on the Canal du Midi is a must! We cannot recommend this property enough.

Eight of us (four couples) enjoyed our holiday at this fantastic villa in Azille. It was superbly equipped with aircon in every room (and we definitely needed it!). The bicycles and the games room were an added bonus. The panoramic view across the vineyards is spectacular. We used the barbecue but also visited a number of wonderful restaurants that were close by. The Canal du Midi and the Med coast are only a short drive. We all hope to return to Kilima in the future and will be recommending this villa to all our friends and colleagues

Outstanding property and location.

I visited this property in May 09. The house itself is modern, bright spacious, comfortable and lacking nothing. A beautiful pool, decking area and outdoor eating area complement it perfectly.
The location is also fantastic. Rural and set looking out over vineyards but still only a 30 minute drive from Carcassonne and a few minutes walk from the patisserie to get the croissants in the morning, it couldn't get much better.
Good weather helped but the house has enough to do in it that it would have been good regardless.
Would go back there in a flash, one of the most relaxing holiday's I've ever had.
