The 1st floor apartment includes a fully equipped kitchen & open plan living area. Sleeping areas include the option of bunkbeds in the hallway, a single bed with a slide out bed beneath in the living area & an optional private double bedroom/snug in the living area. English & French digital TV, hi fi & DVD, selection of board games are available for use. A snow cave is available for the storage of skis, boots etc. The bathroom has a 1/2 bath/shower,basin & WC. Additional information about rental rates

  • 1.Payment:
    Payments of Euros & GB Pound are both welcomed.
    Conversion tool will determine rate of exchange at the time booking is made.
    Payments are to be made by bank transfer or GBP cheques.

    2.Terms and conditions:
    20% deposit to be paid at the time of booking.
    Balance to be paid in full 8 weeks before departure.

    3.Cancellations:
    The following charges are based on how many days before your departure we receive your cancellation.
    These are a % of total cost of booking.

    56 days or more = Loss of deposit
    55 - 28 days = 50% of total booking
    27 - 14 days = 75% of total booking
    Less than 14 days = 100% of total booking
    It is strongly advisable to take out appropriate travel insurance.

    4.Extra services:
    10 days notice must be given to the management company if you require the hire of bed linen or towels or the apartment cleaning on your departure. This is done directly through the management company.

    5.Discount:
    Discounts are available for stays 2 w
  • Weekly bookings are Saturday to Saturday. Guests need to vacate the apartment by 10am.
    Shorter stays may be negotiated but actual reservations can only be taken 7 days prior to arrival date.
    A cash security deposit of 200.00 euros will be required at the time of key collection from the management company in resort. The deposit will be refunded to guests when cleaning/inventory check has been done. Guests need to arrange with management company a suitable time just before departure for this to be done.
    Contract will be sent by royal mail details taken by email. Upon receiving the deposit a receipt will be given with due date for the final payment. The apartment address and key collection arrangements will be issued when final payment has been received.
  • 1. Arrivals:
    Apartment will be available to guests from 4pm
    (Earlier entry may be possible on the day at the discretion of the management company)
    Keys are collected from the management agency at which time the 200 euro deposit will be required. It important to make arrangements with the agency conducive to your homeward travel arrangements at this time to inspect the apartment before departure so the refund may be returned to you.

    2. Departures:
    The apartment must be thoroughly cleaned before deposit is returned before departure.
    A cleaning service is available directly through the management company if you wish to arrange to do so.
    Guests must vacate the apartment before 10am on the day of departure.

  • The bathroom has a traditional 1/2 bath with the option of a shower above. It has a basin & WC with plenty of storage space in the units provided.

  • There are bunk beds in the hall way of the apartment, opposite the bathroom. In the main living area there is a sofa bed which is a single bed with an option of another single sliding bed underneath. Also in the living area there is an optional bedroom or snug. This is in the form of a partition, it has sliding and concertina doors to create the extra room. It has a clic clac bed to give the choice of usage of either a double bed or a sofa. This area has its own lighting and bedside table and lamp. The kitchen area has an excellent range of utensils and labour saving devises to make your stay easier. There is plenty of storage for personal effects, this is is in the bathroom, the hallway, the kitchen and the living area.

A pair of sheets & pillow cases are required for each bed used. These services are available to pre-book with management agency. These will be provided at the time of inquiry. The apartment has a secure parking area only accessible by tenants by way of a remote clicker devise which will be issued to tenants at the time of key collection. There is no specific parking allocation to each apartment, it is a case of utilising the spaces available at the time. The porch way of the apartment block has an area to leave ski boots and skies to dry.

CHATEL VILLAGE: The beautiful village of Chatel is located in located in the Haute Savoie. It is a self-catering apartment, in a prime location, centrally located 100m from telecabin. The restaurants, bars, supermarket, bakery, shops & ski/bike hire facilities are just a few minutes walk away. In the summer months the village is decorated with the most beautifully flowers all around, the local residence taking part in the display and even the lamp posts. There is an excellent information located in the village who provide information on all the up and coming events in the area, supplying an array of complimentary literature. During the summer there is a little train that frequently runs through the valley which is very reasonably priced and suitable for all age groups. The views are absolutley breath taking inlcuding the added feature of cows and goats complete with the traditional neck bells. Central to the village is an open air swimming pool complete with the stunning back drop the Alps.

SUMMER IN CHATEL: Chatel offers 90km of footpaths for hikers including Lac de Vonnes, Morclan & Chatel meadows. Guides are available to hire for mountain walks. A little site seeing train circulates around the village of Chatel & surrounding area enabling uou to explore. There are 15 biking trails & 380km of waymarked cycle tracks in the Portes du Soleil. Bicycles ar available to hire in the village. Fishing off the banks of the Dranse & Lake Vonnes. Pedal boat hire is also available. Chatel has a tennis club along side a football pitch. Horse riding at the Roug's Riding Centre is an option, lessons are available. The Loy outdoor activities centre is home to the 6 hole golf course, challenging for both beginners & experienced golfers. Outdoor swimming pool located in the centre of the village amidst the beautiful back drop of the Alps. A really good apartment for a family or group of 4 for skiing. The apartment is compact, clean with a well equiped kitchen in a perfect location for skiing in Chatel - the telecabin is 100meters away- or catching the bus to more extensive ski slopes.in Portes du Soleil. Plenty of good bars and places to eat nearby.

Exactly what we expected

Chalet is only yards from ski shop, telecabin to super chatel area, ticket offices and local shops, bars etc.

Easy walk to catch ski bus for other areas.

Clean, equipped with everything we needed, ideal for couple, or family with small children (bunk beds) or four singles who don't mind bunking up.

Good location for skiers & bikers alike.

Excellent apartment, fantastic location.

The location of the apartment is fantastic. The shops, restaurants and bars are nearby and the super-chatel lift really is as close as it says in the advert. For a ski holiday this was perfect as this really limits the time you have to spend walking in ski boots! With all the links in the portes du soleil region, you can start at super chatel and access a massive amount of terrain. And if you want to go to some of the other lifts in chatel, the ski bus stop is not too far from the apartment and as the walk back from the bus stop involves passing plenty of bars and a cake shop it doesn't seem so bad!

The apartment itself was very clean and well equipped. There was only 2 of us but there are beds to cater for 4 and certainly you could see a young family or a group of friends fitting in ok. The balcony had a great view and it was awesome waking up, opening the curtains and enjoying the fantastic views over the mountains through the huge windows.

The owner provided a fantastic service - they were very friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend this apartment to a friend.

Ideal for families or four girls on a long weekend

Right next to lift and easy walk to bus (if you wish to ski wider area). Regular bus service and you walk past the cake shop! Apartment in my opinion was particularly roomy for a studio, certainly ideal for 4 girls on a long weekend, hot water plentiful and well equipped if you are self catering as we did. If you are not fussy about having your 'own room' and like studios this one is excellent and value for money. If you have children the position of the double be means you can have some privacy and you only have to walk 2 mins to get on Chatel lift system and ski hire shop! Agency on arrival and departure extremely helpful.
