Photos and Description of this Gran Canaria holiday apartment Two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with large balcony and swimming pool.

This spacious apartment is situated in a small complex in the heart of Puerto Rico. It comprises two double sized bedrooms each with twin beds, two bathrooms with showers, a good-sized lounge and kitchen. The property is fitted with; fridge/freezer, 2 ring hob, microwave, washing machine, CD player, ceiling fans etc. The apartment also has a large balcony that catches the afternoon and evening sunshine. The complex has a large swimming pool with children's area and ample sunloungers. In terms of location, the centre of the resort, with its numerous shops, restaurants and bars is only a two-minute walk away. A ten-minute walk will take you to Puerto Rico's beach and harbour, whilst a ten-minute walk in the opposite direction brings you to the Aqua Park; a fantastic day out for the active family. From the harbour you will find numerous ferries which will take you on a short trip to other towns or beaches.

The apartment is situated on the lower level of Puerto Rico, within easy reach of the numerous shops, bars and restaurants. A gentle walk through the park will take you down to the local beach and harbour, where you can find several different types of watersports, or you could just relax on a sunbed with a good book or in a bar that overlooks the bay. A 20 minute walk along the coastal path from the harbour will take you to the picturesque beach of Amadores. This is a beautiful man made beach which gently slopes into the clear blue sea. Along the edge of the beach you will find a parade of restaurants, that will serve anything from a quick snack through to a 3 course meal. Two great waterparks are on offer, one a short bus ride away in Maspalomas and the other just a 10 minute walk from the apartment.

The apartment is comfortable and well equipped on the whole. The owners are adding a couple of items we thought were lacking.
The owners are very helpful and friendly.
The apartment has a lovely balcony which gets afternoon and evening sun and there is a pool (cold!) and sun loungers.
There are quite a lot of steps to the apartment.
The second bedroom has no window and no door. The owners are thinking about a bead curtain. We did not find it a problem - 2 50+ couples.
Plenty of places to eat in Puerto Rico - mostly international menu but a couple serving Canarian food. Quite a few places with music - we enjoyed Scruffy Murphy's Irish bar!
Owner's Response: The apartment is on the third floor of a small complex so there are some steps to reach the ground / pool level.

The second bedroom is reached via an archway. If a door was to be added this we feel would isolate the bedroom and bathroom from the rest of the apartment.

We thank Jane for her ideas to improve the kitchen utensils and a couple of items that we had overlooked have now been added.
