Parque da Corcovada holiday apartment

We arrived at the Apartment on 20th June 2009 after a surprisingly easy drive from Faro Airport. We had stayed near to the apartment in another villa the year before so we know roughly where we were going. There was four in our party, my Girlfriend, my Mother, Sister and myself. We arrived at about 10 in the morning, too early to check in but Louise let us drop our luggage off in the apartment and then we went out to have a look about.

Louise phoned us when the Apartment had been cleaned so that we could make our way back. The Apartment is really smart, everything is brand new and the cleaners had done a really good job of cleaning the apartment, it was spotless. The three bedrooms, two bathrooms and Living Room were decorated very nicely and really clean. The kitchen was very well equipped and the Balcony was huge.

The apartment is located about a 5 minute walk from the strip with all of its bars and restaurants. Some of our favourite bars were Sinatra's and Faces and some of our favourite restaurants were Os Compadres and Luigis.

We had a car so getting to the Beach and the Old Town was really easy, the beach is probably a 15 minute walk and the Old Town is probably a 30 minute walk or take the train!

My only disappointment was with the Pool, the rule about not being able to reserve Sun Beds was routinely flouted. Families would go along at 8:30 in the morning, reserve beds, and then not use them till late in the afternoon. This happened every day and by 10:00 in the morning there were no beds left and remained that way for the rest of the day. We were informed that the Security patrols would remove towels from unused beds but in 10 days of being there this was not the case.

Apart from the Pool, the Apartment was great and the assistance from Louise and Nicola was greatly appreciated. A truly Luxurious Apartment.
