A charming 250 year old French farmhouse at the foot of the Luberon mountains, 45 minutes from the airport at Marseille in the south of France. The house has a pool and small private garden. It has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 5 with two bathrooms, a kitchen, lounge, dining room, study/family room and entrance porch. Ideally located in the Plan de Robion, 2kms from the main village and close to the hilltop villages of Menerbes, Lacoste, Bonnieux, Goult, Gordes and Rousillon, it is in the heart of Provence. It is also very close to Isle sur la Sorgue, a well known French market town and approximately 25 minutes from Avignon. The house has been completely renovated inside and out and comes equipped with all modern conveniences, including TV, DVD player, Hi Fi and internet connection. It also has a washer and dryer and dishwasher.

Robion is a small village nestled at the foot of the Luberon mountains in the Luberon National Park. It is about 45 minutes north of Marseille airport on the A7 or 30 minutes south east of the TGV station at Avignon. It is within easy reach of a variety of Provencale villages and towns including Isle sur la Sorgue, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Gordes, Roussillon, Goult, Abbey de Senanque, St Remy de Provence, Les Beaux de Provence, Aix en Provence and many others. The area is rich in olive groves, lavender fields and vineyards, with a great variety of local wines to sample. There is also an abundance of restaurants to choose from serving all local produce. There is golf and at Saumane, kayaking at Fontaine de Vaucluse and walking in the Luberon mountains. The coast is approximately 1 hour away with a variety of beaches on the Cote Bleu.

Notes: The 18th century stone staircase has no handrail and is not suitable for very small children or the elderly. The pool is not enclosed but has an alarm in accordance with the regulations. The property would most suit a couple without or with older children who are interested in exploring Provencal market towns, such as Isle sur la Sorgue, along with historic buildings such as the Palais des Papes at Avignon or the fortified town of Les Beaux de Provence. The coast is about an hour away and there are a variety of beaches on the Cote Bleu. The quiet and secluded garden with pool offers a welcome retreat in summer and a wonderful base for exploring the beautiful region of Provence.

The stone staircase leading upstairs does not have a banister or handrail which may cause problems for very young children or the elderly. For those with young children, the swimming pool is not enclosed but has an alarm in accordance with regulations. Carpe Diem is a no smoking and pet free environment.

My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful two weeks in this meticulous and lovingly restored mas. The owner, Jenny, could not have been more thoughtful. The property is nearby all attractions of the Luberon-- Bonnieux, Menerbes, Oppede, etc. and the ubiquitous vineyards and wineries. Highly recommended.

A house that oozes 'welcome' as soon as you walk through the door and into the living room. Great decor throughout with touches of Provencal colour. Comfortable bedrooms with views of the Luberon mountains. Immaculately maintained interior with good, modern conveniences. Chill out beside the inviting pool after sightseeing the nearby Provencal hill towns - Gordes, Saignon, etc - and visiting the markets. Handy for the village centre, bakery, restaurants and cafes.

Lovely restored farmhouse with the perfect combination of modern conveniences and charm. Spotlessly clean, impeccably maintained. Gorgeous pool, lovely patio for outdoor meals, and peaceful back garden. Very functional eat-in kitchen. Fantastic location – very convenient to the Isle Sur La Sorgue market, and all the charming towns of the Vaucluse – Bonnieux, Lacoste, Gordes, Avignon etc.
