Notes: APT A + APT C occupy the entire upper floor and, when booked together, create a totally private area because the spacious hall that divides these 2 apartments becomes part of a super-large apartment in a naturally 'privatised' area. Together, they can sleep up to 14 persons. APT B + APT D occupy the entire ground floor. Together, they can sleep up to 12 persons. APT E in an annex at the front end of the house and can sleep up to 3 persons. For the elderly or infirm, you can drive a car to next to the pool via a separate lane. Inside the house, if you book APT B, D or E, everything is on 1 level - no stairs. The football sized, sandy area next to the pool has swings, climbing frames and slides - perfect for children. Meals by arrangement with private chef in the 'cucina contadino' - only fresh local produce used, often including truffle + meats, washed down by unlimited amounts of house wine, red or white, + water, for about 20 euros for dinner or 10 euros for lunch.

Wir waren im Sommer 2009 für 2 Wochen als größere Gruppe von 17 Leuten in der Villa Marianna und belegten insgesamt 3 Appartments. Es war für uns alle eine wunderschöne, erholsame Zeit. Die Anfahrt zur Villa, ca. 20 Minuten mit dem Auto hoch durch die Berge war sehr gut zu fahren und schon hier wurde man verwöhnt mit einer sehr schönen Landschaft. Einmal in der Villa Marianna angekommen wollten wir alle gar nicht mehr weg. Wir liebten den grandiosen Ausblick ins weite Land, frühstückten morgens draussen mal an diesem, mal an jenem Plätzchen und plantschten dann in dem wirklich sehr großen und sauberen Pool. Die Appartments waren alle gut ausgestattet, wenn wir etwas zusätzliches brauchten waren Norma oder Laurie, die beide sehr sehr nett sind, immer sofort zur Stelle. Wir hoffen, dass wir einmal wieder Urlaub in der Villa Marianna machen können....vielleicht mieten wir ja dann das ganze Haus......

Villa Marianna, Belgian visitors july 2009

We (group of 13 people) have rented Villa Marianna , apts B,C and D for 14 days in July 2009. We have had the most fabulous holiday. The description of the Villa appears to be as mentioned on the web : the apts are large enough for the nr of people indicated, the villa has indeed recently been renovated, it is clean and more then sufficiently equipped for 6 people per apt.. Our hosts Laurie and Norma are the most charming people, not obtrusive but there, if you should need them. The view from the terras could easily come out of a movie. We could witness the most beautiful sun dawn every night again. The Swimming pool could perhaps be a little bit difficult to reach for people with a handicap as it is situated +/- 50 m below the villa and requires a small climb when returning, but is also extremely well equipped with chairs and was during our stay, maintained every day. There are indeed a lot of places to visit in the neighbourhood and even a visit to Roma by train belongs to the possibilities.
I can give only one advice : don't think twice, book !

Owner's Response: It is true that it takes a few minutes to walk up the path back to Villa Marianna. This is because the pool is part of a larger campus area with gazebos on a large sandy "beach", equipped with swings, a climbing frame and a slide for young children. However, those of you who have mobility problems or who are staying at Vista Del Mondo, please note that you can drive directly to the pool. And, there are toilet facilities next to the pool !
