Ses Casetas is a small privately owned complex of 8 bungalows situated on 250 yards from the lovely beach in Arenal D'en Castell. The bungalows consist of 3 bedrooms & 1 bath/shower room and ideal fro family self-catering holidays. The complex has a large (14m & 5m) pool with a children's section and extensive sunbathing terraces. Shops, restaurants and the beach are all within a few hundred yards making a car not essential. The bungalows have one double bedroom & two twin bedded rooms, as well as lounge, kitchen and individual terraces suitable for eating or relaxing outside. Recommended for families looking for a good resort location.

Situated 20 minutes North of the Islands capital Mahon, Arenal D'en Castell is a picturesque resort with a horse-shoe shaped bay and sheltered sandy beach. Close to other resorts such as Addaia & Na Macaret. The Golf course at Son Parc is only 5 minutes away by car and Fornells is only 10 minutes.

Good accommodation in lovely setting

Although it is set in an area of holiday rentals, the setting of this bungalow felt residential and made for a lovely safe relaxing location. Within 5-10 minutes walk there were bars and restaurants and the beach (albeit down 167 steps!) was nearby. We did discover that we were also permitted full access to all facilities and entertainment at the nearby Aguamarina Hotel, which includes a lift that when you select floor -1 reduces the steps to the beach to about 15!!

The bungalow itself was compact but well laid out and we arrived to find everything clean and spotless. The bedrooms were basic but each offered decent sized wardrobes with hangers and a shelf. The lounge had a 3-piece suite, pine dresser, coffee table and dining table/chairs, but best of all double doors opening on to a lovely private veranda. The veranda was great because it was L-shaped allowing us to put the laundry on one side and not have to look at it whilst relaxing out there. It also had a 6 seater table and a parasol provided. The BBQ, albeit small was also a nice alternative for an evening's dining and we found a full set of BBQ utensils behind the kitchen door too!! The kitchen was small and certainly not for more than one person cooking, etc. but the fridge-freezer (with cool blocks for picnics) was great and it was lovely to have a full-sized cooker and not be looking for utensils.

The best part of this accommodation was the exceptional service provided by the owner which included a very comprehensive information pack, directions for places we wanted to visit and responses to queries within 24 hours everytime.

Nice location - tired property

Recently returned - location is great, 2 mins walk to bars and restaurants and 5 mins to beach albiet down steep steps. Great beach - quite large, very safe. Pool area was pretty good, nice pool, plenty of sunbeds (no cushions) and pretty clean. Now to the bungalow. Whilst it sleeps 6, I doubt it could accomodate 6. 3 bedrooms of adequate proportions - basically fitted out with quite uncomfortable beds. Otherwise OK. Living area if pretty small and pretty much just contains a table, some chairs and a sofa. No character or thought applied. Kitchen is very small with almost no work surface and is quite dated. Pots and pans were dirty. Bathroom is OK, but again quite dated. Outside patio area is quite nice with tables and chairs and reasonable views. Overall, we thought it pretty expensive for what it is. You could find better at this price.

We have had two great holidays here. The location is perfect and very family friendly, although villa's are in a quiet area it is just a short walk to the local shops and some very nice restaurants. The properties are basic but have everything you will need, very well maintained & clean. Beach is just a short walk, although quite a steep climb down its well worth it, can also be accessed by car. Bar Copas on the beach is ideal for a meal out, enjoying your meal whilst watching your children enjoy the last of the daylight on the beach gives you a very warm feeling. I would not hesitate to return to these villa's or area & highly recommend for young families and older couples.
