'Aigua Blava' is a fantastic, contemporary and modern apartment, which has recently completed a full refurbishment. It is large (over 1200 sq ft), light, and has a wooden oak floor throughout. The kitchen is high specification with granite work surfaces and a central island for breakfast or drinks. The dining table is solid oak which can be extended to fit up to 12 people, with comfortable leather chairs. The huge living space has been beautifully designed with stunning furniture and soft furnishings. The front of the apartment has a wall to wall window with the most amazing sea views, from St Ives to Hayle Estuary and beyond to Godrevy Lighthouse. The 2 bathrooms, one an ensuite shower room with a large shower enclosure and the other a family bathroom with a bath and over head power shower, have been finished to a high quality. Aigua Blava provides parking for one vehicle, however, there is a train service through Carbis Bay to St Ives providing easy access into town.

Take a leisurely walk along the coastal footpath to Lelant or a more energetic hike to Zennor and Gunards Head.   • Booking Notes:

    COMPLETION AND RETURN OF A BOOKING FORM CONFIRMS A BOOKING. A deposit is charged at 1/3rd of the full rate and is payable with a Sterling personal cheque, bank transfer or SECURE CREDIT/DEBIT CARD PAYMENT via Paypal. The balance is then payable no later than 8 weeks prior to your holiday. The full rental cost is payable for bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to the holiday.

Notes: This property has recently been refurbished to the highest standards. The decor is contemporary throughout with oak flooring and neutral colours. The kitchen is fitted to a high specification and has black granite work surfaces, breakfast bar island, integrated dishwasher, washing machine oven and hob. There is also a free-standing fridge/freezer and tumble dryer. The dining area has a large, extendable oak table with leather seats for up to 8 diners. The lounge is open plan and the full width window overlooks Carbis Bay. There is a wall-mounted 40' screen TV, DAB digital radio and Ipod docking station, a king sized sofa-bed and corner sofa, together with 2 swivel tub chairs in window. The 2 bedrooms are light, comfortable and contemporary and also have oak flooring throughout. Both bedrooms are fitted with wall mounted, flat-screened TVs. The apartment lends itself to being rented by couples or families alike as it has 2 bathrooms and the extra available sleeping area in the lounge

Excellent apartment in perfect location

We stayed at the apartment in September 2009 with our two year old, the apartment is on the first floor (small number of steps) with private parking. It was a spacious, clean and modern apartment with stunning views of the bay, which is a short down hill walk or 2 min drive. The bay is perfect for all but esp. families as it's soft sand, clean and not crowded. The apartment is also a short walk/drive to the nearest supermarket (Tesco) and only a couple of miles to St Ives. We had the best holiday I can imagine in the UK and this was the perfect base - don't miss it !

Modern, great views

The apartment is in a modern block around 350metres above the beach in Carbis Bay, which is a quieter beach just outside St Ives. It is decorated to a very high standard, with a great 180 degree sea view, stretching out to St Ives town on left and Hale/Gwithian on right. Coastal paths go in both directions and a train 5 mins walk away means you don't have to use the car. Walking to St Ives takes 20-30 mins on coast path. Steep path down to beach directly from apartment, or slightly longer road (longer meaning 10mins instead of 5!). 2 Bedrooms, one with 4 bunk beds, one with double en-suite. Sofa bed in lounge. Kitchen is large and open-plan to lounge and can cope with a large family with ease. I'd recommend this for families (you can let kids run down to the beach by themselves and watch with the binoculars provided) or older people who might just want to spend a few days gazing over the ocean. No nightlife nearby, except bar in hotel. Tescos 5 mins drive. Really nice place, exceeded my expectations for a UK holiday.

Aigua Blava Marvellous !!

My family & I decided to take a break over Whitsun (at short notice) and we found this lovely apartment in Carbis Bay. It has a stunning panoramic view of the bay and you can also see St Ives.. The apartment is spacious, bright & airy with some very tastefully chosen furniture, but we couldn't get the TV's to work in our bedroom....that's because our daughter pionted out that they were in fact radiators...Doh! Outside there's the fantastic coast line...quite breathtaking,the walks are great and we can honestly say that we didn't expect to see such beauty, the views are truly mesmerising. Then there's St Ives itself, a pretty town of Lilliputian feel, with a great choice of restaurants, bars, quaint little art galleries and fashion clothing shops. It's only a 5 minute train ride (one every hour, a 2 minute walk to station), or about 20 minutes walk along the coastal pathway. The beach is a short walk along the path and down some steps, we even had a BBQ there one evening, by a cave with a stream. With the usual amenities close by, this place is a fantastic chill out get away bolt hole and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone....we'll certainly be back :-)

PS Oh! You must check out The Sloop in St Ives, a great pub that serves this cider called 'Rattler'...but be warned don't drink to much or you'll end up spending a small fortune in those lovely shops!

Easter Escapade - Oh Happy Days!!!

We stayed at Aigua Blava for a long Easter weekend and I can definitely say that the apartment really does have the Wow Factor! The recent refurbishment has been brilliantly planned and executed to the very highest standard to deliver a luxurious and comfortable living space, which we used as our base to holiday in one of the most beautiful seaside locations in the UK. The view from the lounge over the sandy beach of Carbis Bay is truly memorable, I can't think of a better vista to wake up to each morning.

Being only a mile and a half walk along the pretty coastal path to St Ives, the apartment is perfectly placed to take advantage of the quiet sands of Carbis Bay or equally the livelier beaches and town of St Ives. Don't forget the branch line train from Carbis Bay station, which is just 2 minutes walk away, and in less than 5 minutes you're in St Ives, at return cost of just £4 for a family of 4.

St Ives is a fantastic small seaside town with a large selection of vibrant shops and restaurants to choose from, a couple of our favourites being the "Coast Cafe" and the "Pizza Patio".

There are all the necessary amenities such as supermarkets, convenience stores, petrol stations, etc. in the local area but for those wishing to venture further afield, Carbis Bay is an ideal location from which to explore Cornwall. We visited a number of the well known and some of the lesser known attractions and our lively 11 & 8 year old boys were kept completely occupied.

We had such a fun family break here, we are going back for a holiday in the summer. Aigua Blava is truly suited to all groups and ages, we would certainly recommend it to everyone.

The apartment was exquisite and the view extraoridnary. All our expectations were met since we desscription we got from the web was accurate. The communications with the owner were easy and informative. The welcome paket was perfect.
We arrived at the appartment in September 2009 to a lovely surprise, it was so beatiful and we relaxed into each room very quickly. It was home from home and very relaxing with beautiful views of the sea from the lounge. Even the weather was on our side that week, it was sunny every day. We visited many different places as they were within a short driving distance from the apartment. The apartment was excellent value and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay.
We would recommend this apartment to our friends and family.
